Well, there goes stock car racing for a poor boy at Meeker next year......Naw, what am I saying????This poor boy couldn't afford it this past season.....Sounds like I'm whinning, but I'm not. I found the root of my problem in an artical of January 2010 issue of Circle Track magazine....I read; "The root of the problem is not the cost of anything, it is the lack of funds you have and the inability to acknowledge that you are too poor to race."....I needed to hear that. Should be some really good fender car racing at Meeker next year since OKC Pro Stocks (less quick change rearends) will be legal to run in with what they'll be calling "Street Stocks" next year. Should be interesting.....

Hey! I just thought of something...I wonder if I can register as a rookie again this coming season since the class has been bumped up to basically a Pro stock....Hummmm

I guess it would only be fitting to run Pro stocks at Meeker, Since the track owner has two of his own or more.. LOL

Mark will not race at his own track he told us that many times, and the class is Street Stock now, in fact it should help and bring more cars in instead of having the same 12 to 13 regulars each week, and it does give the Enid, SFS, and Ada guy's another place to race as now our cars can go and race other places with Street Stock / Pro Stock rules it is a change for the better in my opinion !!!
Also you can now run the OKC aluminum spec head, but must add 50 lbs of weight if you do, Bert, Brinn, or Falcon's, no Quick Changes, 3 Link's & Panhard Bars, Aluminum Intakes & Methanol, No Goodyear OKC Tires we will be running the Asphalt Tires still, any stock production Steel Head can still be ported and polished, if you run any after market head you can't do any port work to them, minimum wheel base is 108" same engine rules apply, no roller cams or popups must still run solid lift cams and flat top pistons, i know i have forgot some things, but should be a fun 2010 Season.

Our rules in Enid and those other 2 tracks are way dif from what you all are gonna allow so dont plan on any cars coming from enid. Cast intake rule and stock heads is the dumbest rule every. You can buy a set of aftermarket heads cheaper than building a set of junk double humps any day and a cast intake? Thats like a pure stock rule in my opinion. I like the stock four link rule but enid cars are all three link cars as well as okc and ada cars.

So you can run 3links, aftermarket heads, brinn trannys? If so thats good. I might be a regular there next year if enid closes. I like the track and Mark Brill is a good promoter and a good guy

Yes that is correct Dustin, so hope to see you there, if you have any other questions give Mark a call at his shop in Nicoma Park he can clarify any questions you have, but hope to see you and some other Enids guy's there and i did forget he is rasing the pay also for the winner and thru the rest of the field also, Mark is a good on his word and when he says he will do something he does it and that goes along way with drivers & owners, are you hauling your car to Clinton this weekend ? if so see ya there.

if anyone is intersted in this class for the 010 season i have a real nice metric 3 link car
i've raced it 6 times since it was new has a 9" floater with alum afco j bar tilton rev. mnt. pedals quicksteer. everything is there minus motor tranny gear and radiator, will take 3000 for it will take less with removal of parts, would also trade it for sport a sport mod.1800 for bare roller rearend body decking and front end components, have more pictures upon request 580-716-3998 or [email protected] thanks jd

Just an opinion, but I'd STILL like to see a STOCK class at Meeker, something for those guys who "don't realize or won't admit they can't afford racing". A "poor boys" class if you will. Another class could cause scheduling problems, though, as we're probably at about the maximum # of classes we could effectively run a night, now. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Gotta be open minded and thats what Mark is doing. Why do you all wanna have rules at meeker like you had last year with the cast intakes and such where other out of town guys cant come race. Your not gonna get any better racing against the same 10 cars everyweek. I think its a great idea to open the rules up where he can get cars from out of town in and Marks not a dumba$$. I wanted to race there this year but why in the world would i wanna run a cast intake on a street stock. Thats a factory stock rule if you ask me. Just my 2 cents
