I took Some photos of the dirt work we are doing this week to widen the track. Check them out at www.jacksonspeedway.com

Thanks for sharing, Jon. What are your expectations from this work, that is, how much wider, any banking change, and, most importantly, what will it do to next year's racing?

We are hoping that by adding 6-8 feet on the bottom, we will consistently be able to provide a muti groove race track this is easier to pass on. The banking needs to be even from top to bottom. Therefore the track needs to be raised, otherwise it would cut into the infield. IE the infield would be higher than the track and create drainage issues with water sitting on the bottom.
