These photos were in the 1970 Enid Speedway News of the #99 Hobby Stock Car of "Red Pfehm" he was shown as 40th in Point Standings as of 8/28/70 with Bill Beebe #17 capturing six Feature wins on the season and leading the points chase with 582 points with second place runner up Woody Smith capturing a Sweep and four A Feature wins driving the #62 and 127 points back.
Look close at the before and after the crash Pictures. Did "Red" really have to crawl out of the back seat after the incident or is that the Back-up Driver......

That was before I was born but it sure looks that way. Where did you find this? Its really neat reading about the races back then.

that just shows you how good bill bebee really is.... He wins championships more than 30 years apart... There was a time he won 22 A features in Enid and 22 A features in Woodward in the same year. Buzzing Bill was an ALL STAR

Dang My grandpa almost made it through the race untill his engine blew. I may try to find some old pictures and programs my grandma has from those days.

I got alot of these old pictures at my dads. Bill Beebe is one HELL of a driver and a good guy. People forget about alot of REAL RACERS from back in the day that drove 2 different tracks for points in one year before semi's and big car haulers. Back when men where men. Hope to see Bill back out next year

Would love to see Bill race again, the only problem is were? Rumour is Enid is not racing next season. If they do most drivers are going to Clinton anyway. I was putting together a sport mod and now I think I'm going to run just the NCRA show now even if Enid does run. They wont give us a yes or no answer right now so going to build it for the NCRA's.
I DON'T PLAY GAMES I JUST, GIT-R-DONE!

Dustin, I agree with you.
There is alot to be said for the guys that raced back then. Everything got settled on the track, if there was a scuffle. they let the drivers settle it and noone was going to jail. Im not supporting fighting here at all, it was just a different era then. The racing was great back then....
