The name on the caption was Tommy Estes. The number relates to the family number in the 70's. I found it on the site, History of Albuquerque Dirt track racing 1947-present!

Just got off the phone with Tommy and he informs the following:

If this picture was from the mid 60's then that would be his dad Tommy Estes, Sr. He informed me him and his parents moved from New Mexico around 1968 and that he didn't start driving until the min 70's and then he started out in a street stock. More than likely this photo is of his father. Tommy informed the car was brown.

I just forgot to be specific, I knew it couldn't be Jr. Lots of time drivers were stationed in the military and raced. Most used alias though. That could be a story in its self. What racers raced under alias in the military. We had several here in Kansas. One was even seriously injured while in the military while racing.

The photo was 1964.

If the photo was 1964 then a pretty good bet that it was Tommy Estes, Sr.
