I don't race, never have but attend races all over the midwest so I have seen alot of track conditions. Friday night at LCS was tame compared to alot of tracks that I have been to, just this year. Obviously William Gould, Randy Timms, Morgan Bagley, Chad Davis and the rest who put on probably the best "race" (not finish) from start to finish didn't have much of a problem with it.
I think the whole time only two or three cars spun out, on their own even, and were even told to leave the racing surface after the second spin. Tends to happen when your not prepared for different types of racing surfaces and you don't get out and travel to different race tracks.
That is no slam, just stating an opinion you know, which we all have the right to do even if we have never set foot behind the wheel of a race car. That is what makes this board such a beautiful thing, you have opinions and you can even have your opinions and then turn right around six months later and contradict what you originally said!
Ain't America beautiful? Hell, ain't this message board beautiful - enjoy this American Ride shall we?
Now back to my playstation 2 WoO sprint car game to see if that can make me a driver so I can post my opinion.

and for the record let it be known that I like Dustin and was my pleasure meeting him at Elk City back in March. He is a heck of a driver at Enid. Just another opinion, sorry.

Ok I've read all of this "ranting"! I've been to LCS a few times. I have a few questions for Dustin, (don't know him or seen him race). What did you take to run down there? Did you take a Street Stock to run against Factory Stock? Wasn't it the same track for everyone? Where else have you run besides Enid?
Just a few answers before I throw a barrel of fuel on this fire! LOL Sorry David, but you know me!!!

Thats cool Shawn, I was just wondering! Would like my other questions answered tho!
I'm sure P-nut did all he could to get the track worked in, he's a pretty cool guy!
Shawn you & I both know what its like to run a deeply rutted track (SFS) & we have never had anything we couldn't handle!

None of you get what im trying to get across. Ive raced for 10 years now myself and helped my dad all my life and he raced since the 60s and IVE never raced on a bigger piece of shit track. That is my opinion. You can have your own opinion. I know we have never had ruts that bad at enid and if they knew they were gonna have ruts that big they would have prob canceled. One day maybe youll get in a racecar or sponsor one and know the money that goes into them. Its not fun driving 3 hours to race on a rut'd up track. You sure think you know alot about racing. Id love to meet you in person. I can only guess what you look like. For a guy that doesnt race you sure know alot. You should prob have you own talk show like Dave Despain on Speed. lol

You have addressed almost nothing of what I said or the points I have made. And none of what I said - does one need to be a driver to know. It's foolish to judge a track by 1 bad race. And I don't even know why I just say that - you weren't just erroneously judging Ardmore by that 1 bad race - you basically had an agenda of using that bad race as a shameless plug for Enid. I think most would agree that LCS has been doing pretty good the last few seasons - and it's also worth debating your assertion that Enid would be the opposite of such a bad place - that Enid is so great. You act like Ardmore/Enid is night and day. polar opposites. and hey maybe they are - but if anything it's the opposite of what you claim. LCS has a better show - with probably 2-3 times more anything Enid gets. If anything that suggests that LCS is doing the right things - and Enid is not.
In the context and points of this "issue" - me not racing has no bearing. In fact, I appreciate your vote of confidence in my intelligence. Not because of your sarcastic statements - they all fall flat. But because you completely ran away from the issues at hand - hoping the "I race and you don't" card would bail you out of your lack of common sense and rationality in judging Lake Country Speedway by 1 night of sub par track conditions.
Please explain how a track is going to unequivocally know for sure they are goint to have monster ruts. When you figure that out - please share that with the hundreds of dirt tracks spread across the United States of America. There isn't any way to know FOR SURE. Thats almost a conspiracy theory - to think that LCS knew they were going to have ruts and for their own profit would watch you guys bounce off of em. I'm sure they had faith in their track prep abilities - and it went against them the first night. Sounds like they got it corrected quite nicely for night 2 - also sounds like they don't have this problem often. Yeah I think you were plugging for your track by tearing another down - and that in the grand scheme of things you are 1 pissed off person with an agenda - trying to stand tall with your agenda in a sea of people that largely seem to be satisfied with Lake Country Speedway.
But of course because you are a racer - and myself just an observer/fan - I should stop making logical and rational points. I should lose all that stuff and "know my role" right? lol.
This cliche is getting awfully predictable lol. Whats next? more insults? threats?
I'm not the one turning to baseless and weak insults to completely avoid the issues/debate at hand. And in terms of intelligence........that kind of says it all

Dustin Allen: I think the reason you are mad is because you purchased a two days pass to the races for the weekend to save money!! Then you broke on Friday night and requested that the track refund your money for one day of the two day pit pass for you and your crew members. The track told you NO and you got mad. That is the standard rule anywhere I have ever raced. If you buy a two day pit pass and break then you have the option to fix your car and race Saturday night are take the lost and go home. It is a gamble!!! Do you really think they should have refunded your money??
I recall going to Enid one year to the winter nationals and qualifying for the A-main and the dash for cash. It then rained the show out after the B-mains. The promoter kept the entry fee (200) from all the racers and never ran the showed. I think the promoter was Marvin Bond or something like that. But you did not see racers getting on the computer and call Enid track white trash. I race at Ardmore a lot and I do not consider the racers white trash and that's what you calling everyone that has anything to do with the track. It's really easy to get one the computer and talk trash about people and tracks. If you do not like Ardmore that is fine just don't go back but do it with a little class. The computer is what is wrong with grass root racing today!!!

Im a rookie in the modified division. Ive been in a modified 2 times in my life. I drove 3 and a half hours to have fun friday and i thought the track was a little rough to say the least but when my car was broke i thought the least you all could do is give me back a pit pass or 2. Not my choice. Is my choice to not go back. Im not that hard up to race that i gotta race on a track like that. I can travel 3 hours and race on tracks like Outlaw speedway, Dodge City, South Coffeeville. Well just my opinion. You all have a great week and hope to see you all at Enid this weekend. SMOOTH track surface all weekend.

I'll give you a flip side to the pit pass deal. We went to a 2 day show that had around 35 cars, we figured that if we went for the 2nd day only we could save some pit pass money that way and tag on the back. NOPE they wanted pit pass money for both days from the driver, at the time I was a little up set but realize now that the tracks needs to do everything they can to produce the purse. When Ronnie and you talk I bet you have alittle different toon once you see what type of promoter he is "One Of The Best In The State." jmo
