I wouldnt go back to this piece of $h!t track again in my life. There was 8inch ruts on friday. They didnt even run the modified A feature friday because it was too rough. They dont even own a sheeps foot and if they do they dont use it and wonder why the track wont pack in and all they seem to be able to do is blam it on the rain. Come to Enid someday and see a real racetrack. That place is trailor park trash of racetracks.

There sure are a lot of people who were knockin the crap out of Enid Speedway all year that are back on the bandwagon.

You shouldn't try to build 1 track up by tearing the other down. ok so they had a bad track.....they obviously have done a lot of things right to get the kind of show they had/have down there. They get good cars and plenty of em all season - can the same be said for Enid?

With that said - if I want to see a real show Enid would not be high on that list. Granted, I'm an open wheel fan so SFS, ASCS events, even I-44 - although Cowtown is the best track anywhere down in this area. But even if I was to attempt to attend a quality modified show - it wouldn't be Enid. It would be NCRA. With NCRA you're not watching an extremely low car count of good ol' boys - you're watching a collection of quality cars from several area race tracks. That series is and will continue to be a great thing for modified racing in Oklahoma........and in terms of modified racing in Oklahoma - is already high up on the list of quality racing. And thats only gonna get better. Enid needs to get their shit together and get NCRA back up there in some capacity. Otherwise - they will just continue to put on good races at everywhere else BUT your beloved diamond of dirt tracks Enid Speedway. And Enid can continue to boast of their 5 mods, 12 sport mods, 4 street stocks, 9 factory stocks.....and hold up..........wait for it!!!.............a whopping 14 PURE STOCKS! hell yeah!! that gets me all kinds of excited.

I;d rather watch sea turtles f*ck than attend such a "real racetrack".

If you wanna tear at LCS - thats 1 thing. But I will definitely argue trying to do so as if Enid is so great.

There were lawn mower tracks in this state that had better seasons than Enid Speedway.

You sure know a lot you dumb fuck. I said that Ardmore was a piece of shit track and it is. I said nothing about car count. Enid is one of the nicest tracks in oklahoma. The only reason those USMTS guys were there is because thats all that was going on this past weekend and they have to be in texas this week. Wasnt because they were paying a whopping 2000 to win 200 to start. If you believe that ill sell you some ocean front property in arizona.

wow ,I have heard it all now come to Enid the best facility on earth. Not bashin Enid cause I love to race no matter where it is but let's face reality Enid was great about 10 or 15 years ago! Ardmore has had a few problems this year but by far this weekends races were some of the best by far this area has seen all year. It's Funny they can have a 2k to win show and draw in about 10 USMTS heavy Hitters not bad for trailer trash if you ask me . Every year for the last few years that track has had well over 200 cars In the pits for the winternationals and memorial day weekend events say what you want but the proofs IN the numbers that's about the only track in the state that can do it . All the other Enid guys didn't seem to have a problem and seemed to do very well guess they were able to adapt! Hats off to p-nut and all the staff at lake country speedway for all the hard work and dedication that some people just can't appreciate .
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Yah I've been told I have issues lol you just can't help mother nature though the guys did what they could and Friday after the races they worked through the night and most of the day and you gotta admit the conditions were 100% better for sat . And those Usmts guys that were just there cause they were bored have shown up there three times a year for about three years now every since Ronnie had the usmts show there . They like the track and the way it races you should try it again sometime , maybe wait until it hasn't rained for a month or two .

I've been to the majority of LCS's weekly shows over the last couple of years, and the track Friday night was FAR from typical. Its been dry, smooth and very racey the vast majority of the time.

Jorski is right the Paul Mark Memorial and winter nationals has pulled in a lot of big names in the modified world. Morgan Bagley, Bryan Roland, Derek Ramierz, and Randy Timms have all attended multiple times over the last few years. Other heavy hitters that made their way to LCS for the Paul Mark and winter nationals include, Jeremy Payne, George White, Gary Clark, Chris Dawson, Troy Taylor, Eddie Martin, Sean Jones, Chad Wheeler, David Murray, William Gould, Nicholas Littlejohn, and Chris Bragg to name a few.The list of names could go on and on but I think the point has been made.

What other $1k-$3k, 2-day, non-USMTS shows in OK have pulled in those kind of names consistantly? Sorry but your argument just doesn't hold up, man.

I agree come back and give the track another try, there is a reason these guys come run. P-nut and crew busted their butts this weekend, ran a good show and turned that track around to deliver a pretty racey one Sat. night.

My hat goes off to P-nut and all of the LCS crew, also. Thanks for all your hard work this weekend. We had a great time!

I wasn't crazy about not leaving the track until after 3 am or the track conditions Friday and was deffinately screwed by the drawing in without using passing points but, everything we went to p-nut with on trying to make the track better was recieved by the words "we'll listen to any advice you guys have" They would listen and do there best to fix things. To take a track like Friday's was and make it as good as it was on Saturday took a lot of hard work and late hours by a lot of people. I would like to say thanks to p-nut, Ronnie and the whole crew at LCS for all the effort they put in.

look I understand you taking exception to that - not sure about the initial part but have your fun.

I don't think you should judge the place like you have based on the track conditions for 1 event. and then in doing that - build enid like it's the greatest. thats cool if people like it - it's their thing. Thats how I am about meeker as well. I don;t like it - but rock on for those that do. But i strongly disagree with you tearing one track with an aim to build up the track you race at. I cannot fathom LCS bring THAT shitty.....because they have had one of the stronger weekly shows around - and are able to pull in very high quality teams on a semi-consistent basis. that couldn;t be done if it consistently sucked as bad as you claim.

I get it you weren't satisfied. Why not just say that? Why not just say that you didn't feel you got your moneys worth? That would be sensible. But to fly into how they are just the worst place ever.....in my opinion is going too far. The kind of ruts you describe - man I have seen those at multiple tracks this year. I just don't think 1 rough track doesn't qualify a track as the worst ever.....and they may have a legitimate point about the rain. You know as well as I - the sun did not really come out til thursday - it was nothing but rain, mist, drizzle, no sunlight for most of 2 weeks before that. Devil's Bowl - which experienced the same thing ardmore did (relatively - in fact - LCS probably got it worse) - pushed their whole weekend back a full day because they needed more dry weather and sunlight to get things into proper shape. so the impact of weather is not that much of a stretch. Won't comment on track conditions - because i don't see and have not heard people consistently complain of rough tracks down there. To build the kind of stock car show lcs has the last few seasons - they must not have had too bad track conditions on a consistent basis.......

As for nice facilites or tracks. It's not just a great track that makes a great show. There could be a great track but if there isn't hardly any cars to run on it.......it kind of goes to waste. And thats the situation enid seems to have been in much of the year. I wouldn't say enid has sub par facility - i like their grandstand, it's pretty cool. but I would say enid has a sub par show. It's not like i revel in that fact man. But it's not an outstanding show up there - i hope it gets back on a path that it could be again. But I never really was that impressed with Enid's track proper either. Not any more or less than other saturday night shows.

But it seems this argument is futile. I don't how you could go to 1 show down there and that substantiate a comparison to a track that you....ironically......race at. I don't think it's a credible comparison - because in terms of LCS - it's 1 show. I won't question to any degree your opinion on Enid's actual track - because you race at it every week. And if you like it - awesome. But it doesn't mean that as a fan I have to. And look - if the unanimous opinion is that LCS consistently sucks and is completely hopeless - I'll be the first to tell you that you were right. But I do doubt that to be the case. only time well tell.

And me disagreeing that LCS is hopelessly terrible - and that Enid is so great - is not disrespecting or insulting you. I do feel that
A. Lake Country Speedway is not nearly as bad as you make it out to be
B. Enid Speedway is not nearly as great as you make it out to be

I fail to see how that is a dumf*ck opinion. Because there are facts to support it. Just as there are facts to support yours as well. Just because we disagree doesn't make me a dumbf*ck.

None of you get what im trying to get across. Ive raced for 10 years now myself and helped my dad all my life and he raced since the 60s and IVE never raced on a bigger piece of shit track. That is my opinion. You can have your own opinion. I know we have never had ruts that bad at enid and if they knew they were gonna have ruts that big they would have prob canceled. One day maybe youll get in a racecar or sponsor one and know the money that goes into them. Its not fun driving 3 hours to race on a rut'd up track. You sure think you know alot about racing. Id love to meet you in person. I can only guess what you look like. For a guy that doesnt race you sure know alot. You should prob have you own talk show like Dave Despain on Speed. lol
