We took the Newton Motorsports team to Antioch Sept 26 to run the 360 winged show. We were fortunate enough to have Jason Newton leading the main event, but then we had a suspension part fail in the rear of the car. It sent Jason full throttle into the turn two wall resulting in a hard impact and series of flips. Jason was ok, but it tore up everything that bolts on. Wheels , shocks , arms , every brake rotor, front hubs, torque tube and bell, motor plates, even stripped the spines in the u-joint. What a mess! Lol. With help from John Santomauro we were able to save the frame so thanks John. Thanks to Mike Stallings at Circle Racing Wheels for again helping with affordable wheel replacement. The people at Circle have treated us great even though we are a small team and our business is a drop in the bucket. I think they have saved us more than we have spent with them! Check into Circle wheels, besides being nice people, they are racers and they understand what we go through. We are in a tight battle for 8th, 9th, and 10th place in the GLR Investment series season championship at Ocean Speedway. As noted in a press release by Gary Costa, we currently sit in 10th place just 3 points out of 8th, so we have put together what we have left to try to defend our points position and finish in the top 10 in points. We are a low funded team just happy to be able to have a shot at a top 10, and happy to be able to race against the competition that Ocean Speedway has to offer! The civil war show at Ocean on Sept 25 cost us a position in points as the car uncharacteristically jumped out of gear during qualifying and we ended up starting in the back of everything. We gave running the alphabet a valiant effort coming from the C main to the B main and falling one position short of transferring to the A main that would have potentially given us the points to move to 8th place as the drivers we are battling with had problems as well. Oh well. We are ready to go for the race on Fri. and hope to see many fans come out and cheer everyone on as the season nears it's end.
