Cowtown Sprint Nationals Entries Blast By ‘60’, Pre-Entry Deadline 10/4

Kennedale TX (9/30/09) by DarinShort.com. With the event date of October 9-10 just over a week out, the sprint car early entry list is now in excess of 60 for the Cowtown Sprint Nationals (CSN) presented by ShopTheBoss.com and Lone Star Speedway.

The $85,000 event is set for October 9-10 at Cowtown Speedway and features the stars and cars of the ASCS Lone Star, Gulf South and Sooner regions.

Plus, ten of the Lucas Oil National ASCS Sprint Series drivers have entered, as their schedule is ‘off’ that weekend. And there are also six ‘invading’ drivers pre-entered, which will add more spice to the mix.

Driver entries from 12 states have been received; now expanding from Pittsboro Indiana to Snohomish Washington, to Los Lunas New Mexico to Thibodaux Louisiana – and many points in between.

It’s very important that drivers pre-register for this event on or before October 4th, as it reserves them a pit space and helps the race track put together the jigsaw puzzle of large tow rigs in the pit area; and helps the announcers to keep fans better informed.

Premium spots in the pits are nearly gone, and phone in reservations are not accepted. Only drivers that are pre-registered will be assigned pit space. Those spaces will be staked with the driver’s name on them on practice night, October 8thor when they arrive on October 9th for the opening night.

Drivers not pre-registering will be parked wherever the track deems best on race night, so it can best assemble the ‘jigsaw’ puzzle of assorted tow rig and trailer sizes.

Also teams competing in the Topless 100 for Modifieds, Topless Limited Modifieds and Winged 600 Championships should also continue to preregister. The early entry deadline for those divisions saves $25 and that promotion expires on October 4th.

To pre-enter, please go to
www.CowtownSpeedway.com then click on the “Nationals” link on the home page. Scroll down the Nationals page and there you will see the quick, 2-step registration process. The cutoff for preregistration is October 4. At that point, the pit parking chart will go from ‘penciled’ in to ‘inked.’

The track is expecting a field of 70-80 sprint teams, and around 200 cars total by race time, which will make for a completely full pit area.

Thank you to the nearly 20 cars that pre-entered the Cowtown Sprint Nationals, Topless 100, Topless Limiteds and Winged 600's Championships just yesterday alone...

For those that haven't, but are planning to; please help us to help you by getting pre-registered by Sunday, October 4. Bo will be finalizing his reserved pit parking chart with your trailer info on it; which he will be doing on Monday from entries received previous to that.

Entries received after Sunday will be parked at the track on race night, and where the track deems best.

That being said, here's the new 64-car Cowtown Sprint Nationals entry list - 13 states represented (the Mods, Ltds and 600's will be updated next week):

Nah, hosting a big sprint show with proper scheduling will never work!

Kudos to you guys down there and all of your great promoting. But, if you helped run the Chili Bowl you wouldn't have to work so hard the rest of the year.

Friday afternoon update:

Entries continue to roll in for next weekends Cowtown Sprint Nationals, Topless 100, Topless Limiteds and Winged 600's Championships.

Thanks again to those who are taking the time to get pre-registered, so we can try to park you the best as possible; while taking into consideration your needs and requests. We want you to have a fun weekend, and you're helping us to make that happen by doing so.

Just a reminder, the pre-registration promo deadline is Sunday. Our quick and easy 2-step registration process is on the home page of www.CowtownSpeedway.com - and a reminder - drivers entering after Sunday's deadline will be parked where the track deems best on race night.

There are now 67 sprints pre-entered as well...and I would guess around 10 or more will enter by race time.

And fans, about 1/2 of the 2-day reserved-seat tickets are already sold, and general admission 2-day passes will remain on sale through Thursday for just $35; and will save you $10 off of race night pricing. www.CowtownSpeedway.com can hook you up with what you need in a few short clicks.

Right now, the weather forecast is looking favorable as a weather system is supposed to push through Monday-Wednesday; we will keep our eye on it in the meantime.

One final thank you to everyone's support for this event: fans, sponsors and race teams. We're really proud to be able to host an event of this magnitude. And race fans: you're going to get to see fantastic racing all weekend long, so don't miss out on any of the action, get your 2-day passes purchased by Thursday!
