"I have a lot of great memories of that Mile. The best race was when me and Jac Haudenschild went back and forth several times through traffic at crazy speeds, that was a lot of fun. This event should be great for the fans."

Gotta love Steve Kinser!

What? LOL WRG does not own the New York State Fairgrounds (the Syracuse Mile). Where did you come up with that one? The State of New York owns the track and simply leases the track to DIRT/WRG for Super DIRT Week each October. That has been the arrangement for Super DIRT Week for the past 37 years. The four-car "exhibition" at Syracuse is just to try and build interest among the Modified crowd at Syracuse for the Saturday night WoO show at Rolling Wheels Raceway (about 20 minutes from the Syracuse Mile).

As someone who has attended Syracuse every year since 1985, I can honestly say that the claim of 120,000 fans and 500 competitors is not even a stretching of the truth; it's a bold-faced lie that made me look twice when I read that claim. LOL Compared to that dishonesty, WRG might as well just come out and proclaim that they are more profitable than Exxon-Mobil.

Maybe those attendance figures are counting everyone each day - like 5 days x 24,000 fans and about 100 cars ... oh yeah and 200 campers each day = "creative math" ....

Gee, Thanks for clearing that up.

First off, the positive:

I'm going up Thursday and can't WAIT to see this. 14 years is a loooooong time, and it's going to be one hell of a b-day present.

Now, the negative:

The forecast looks like sh*t. Oh yea, and Wolfe and Lynch? I thought this was supposed to be Outlaws? Nothing against those two but I was hoping for more like Haud and Schatz. *sigh*
