I just have to say what a fun night is was at Placerville last night. From the time the In n Out gal told Stumble he didn't look a day over 40, to the time I left the pits, it was a very good night.

The crowd at Pville is the best around when it comes to enthusiasm and involvement. I've said it before, at Tulare it seems like the fans sit on their hands. At Placerville, people are cheering when the first cars hit the track for mudpacking. Time trials, heat races, main events, they make some noise!

Bill Sullivan did a super job of keeping the crowd going through numerous yellows and reds during the main event. I think he said like 14 cautions/reds during the A. Over an hour to complete. Yet I didn't hear one person complain and it sure didn't seem like it took that long, in large part, to Bill for keeping the crowd involved..

National Hug Your Flagman Night? Looks like this has the making of an annual event. Way to go Ed for being such a good sport. Our booing when you dropped the cupcake was all in good fun! Smile

Great job Dave Angus.

Fun times at Placerville. I look forward to their 2010 season.

Definitely would have to agree. Been to a lot of tracks and the Placerville crowd is one of the most active here on the West Coast. Saturday was sure a lot of fun. National Hug your Flagman Night might have to become a regular event. The crowd at Pville sure understands racing and now with the scoreboard you hear them scream for fast time even before they announce it over the PA. Its actually pretty entertaining.

First I would like to thank Carwash for the In n Out it was great and the smile on that lady's face as she told me happy birthday and that I didn't look a day over 40 was classic,

I also want to thank Kaylee for baking cup cakes they were really good Ed missed out dropping his also a big thanks to Cindy, Chiller, Leslie, J-Mac, Megan And Sheree for celebrating my birthday with me.

Now to the race as always it was a good night I just Love Placerville and like Carwash said it does have the best crowd in racing and Bill did a great job filling time during the cautions.

I can't wait for next year to get here.

Paul...

This video surfaced today on YouTube of the above. I got a call from the Sacramento Bee asking me about the flagman that got "over 400 hugs" I asked how they heard about it..."well its on you tube" lol. I think this is a perfect time to thank all of the great fans we have at Placerville, it's been a fun year and thanks to the great crew and all of the supportive fans 2009 will be a night to remember, especially the last night! Thanks for the video Brandon!
