One of the Greatest USAC/ Allstar sprint owners has passed. He had some of the greatest Sprintcar drivers ever drive his car. He will surely be missed. I can't believe that there isn't a tribute to this man on the USAC website. This man truely loved sprintcar racing and the people he supported have not mentioned it. SAD REALLY!!!!!!!!

Sad news - he was a great car owner. I have fond memories of Schrader driving the 39 Champ car - that was one sweet ride. RIP

Sad news. I remember meeting Mr. Fortune in a Hotel parking lot in Bucyrus, OH back in the day when Rick Hood was racing in Blackie's winged car running with the All Star Circuit of Champions. He took the time to talk to me and my freind for around a half hour or so and I have always remembered him for that.

R.I.P Blackie Fortune
