Friday night the Midwest 305's were at Fort Dodge and put on a whale of a feature. Matt Stephenson and Gordy Vogelaar duked it out for the win,Vogelaar in Daryl Arends 1a took the win but Matt got beside him several times on the high and low side of the track. Both drivers used the whole track. It was a very entertaining race.

I agree that both matt and marty are both good race car drivers but what about all the burlington 305's. All but one of the of the mid american races have been won by burlington drivers and I believe one or two midwest races have been won by burlington drivers. In burlington u do not see mid american and midwest drivers come to the track becasue they do not do very well. So maybe some credit should be given to the guys that run burlington because I think it is the best 305 competition in the state of Iowa with 3 out of 5 drivers in the top five in all Iowa points.

I agree some of the Burlington drivers are good. But where do they live? "Close to the track"?
Its hard to make all the 305 races across IA, MO, and MN. So as a race team we have to make decisions based on budget as to where we race. I like the Burlington track it is the only time I get to see Flyin Ryan race. The 305's are on the way up and I think anyone who gets in a sprint car 410, 360, or 305 is doing something brave and bold.. So hats off to all the drivers win or lose.
Thank you for the nice comment, I think my hubby and brother in-law are pretty good racers to..

Good racers and some of their crew guys are nuts. One of the older gentlemen in the crew sat behind me a couple of years ago at Knoxville. Never laughed so hard at a old man. Good job Stephenson brothers.

Kustom Sprintcar supplies will always support 305 Racing .We believe that as long as the rule makers dont allow the class to spend way too much money, on so called better equipment, this is the class that will grow and survive..congrats again Matt and Marty.
