Victories for Mark Dobmeier

Lunstra/Dobmeier Motorsports started
their weekend with the World of Outlaw show this past Friday at the
Dobmeier home track of River Cities Speedway. It was an
exciting night for the team because once again Right Choice Electric
and Big Trucks by Jimco both put up an additional $10,000 for the #13
to win.
Mark qualified 11th quick
with a time of 9.478 just over two tenths off the fast time set by
Jason Meyers. He started on the outside of the front row in the
heat race and quickly grabbed the lead from Tony Bruce Jr. and led
the 10 laps to earn the win and place him on the inside of second row
for the dash.
Dobmeier finished third in the dash to
line the Senske & Son Dammer Brothers #13 in the third spot for
the start of the main event.
“We felt very good about where we were
at,” says Dobmeier. “Starting towards the front is what we
needed and my guys’ gave me an awesome car to do just that!”
At the start of the race, Dobmeier
‘wheelied’ coming out of turn two and as the car entered the third
turn, Mark slowed to drop the front end down, but doing so, another
car got into the back of the Senske & Son Dammer Brothers #13 and
the two of them went flipping down the backstretch, ending the night
for the team.
“We had a good night started,” explains
Mark. “It’s frustrating that we crashed, but that
happens. We’ll regroup and be ready for the next one!”
Following the crash at the World of
Outlaw show in River Cities, Lunstra/Dobmeier Motorsports decided to
stay home and work on the car to get it ready for the Sunday night
Huset’s event.
Qualifying sixth quick at the “Home of
the Professionals,” Mark started fourth in the heat race. He
quickly grabbed the number two position and finished second behind
Huset’s veteran Chad Meyer.
Dobmeier then lined up 6th
for the start of the 25 lap main event and charged up to second in
the first lap. After a restart following a red flag, Mark
quickly took the lead from Jody Rosenboom and led the rest of the
race earning the 10th win of the season for
Lunstra/Dobmeier Motorsports.
“The car was very strong all night,”
exclaims Mark. “Getting this win tonight was just what we
needed. We’ll take the momentum from tonight back up to River
Cities this coming Friday.”
Team Co-Owner Dave Lunstra adds, “I

FAST FACTS ON DOBMEIER:
Mark graduated from The University of
North Dakota in Grand Forks with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in
which he then put the degree to work as he currently has a business
in his hometown called Forx Radiator where he specializes in radiator
repair and other vehicle service work.
