red flag fuel stop, what a way to ruin a good race. think about a good lead a driver has that goes away, and the racin going on back , with drivers in a good rythum ect. now with 850 plus h/p engines wtth huge injector's with both upper and down nozzles guzzlin alky, it's time for larger fuel tnks which will hold enough fuel for 40/50 laps. a few more pounds of a larger fuel cell will not affect a 1200 lb/850 h/p sprint car. red flag bull shit !!!!!!!!!

I agree fuel stops are not for sprintcars. If you run out of fuel sucks to be you

Someday there is going to be a hot duel, earned and one to be talked about for some time to come, and a damn fuel stop is going to be in the way.

I like the idea of those with bigger tanks getting to stay on the track during the fuel stops and advancing their positions while the others are in the pits. If you want change, embrace change. This would give the underdogs a shot. Until of course the big dogs get larger fuel tanks and start running 40-50 laps like men used to do.

Lets go over this. You are running the most prestigious Sprint Car Race. you have just earned $9500.00 to start the race and you cannot afford a Fuel Tank. What am I missing?

My understanding of the Fuel Stop was to run it at the First Yellow after Lap 15 or at the 30 lap mark whichever comes first, that would not stop the Rythem of the Race. The leaders were just getting into the Lappers setting up some exciting racing, then the yellow interupting everything! We would have had 8 more laps of good racing!

So, what you are saying is that IF there would not have been a yellow after the fist 12 laps, then it would be OK to complain... what would have happened on the day Carmen Manzardo was leading and they had to stop in the middle of it for a fuel stop.... just think if McCarl is leading at 29 laps by a straightaway and they throw a red flag so everyone can get fuel... then we can complain.. it is just silly. Everyone has their choice of what to do.. 20 guys KNOW on Thursday night if they are locked into the A... just buy a friggin tank that holds enough fuel. THEN Knoxville can have 4 tanks laying there.... NOT 100 or whatever they tried to say they asked a manufacturer for and run a race that doesnt have any kind of mandatory pit stop. BELIEVE me, No one on Saturday is gonna complain if they have to wait an extra 20 minutes for a team to put stickers on a tank and bolt it on.... Just my .02

If, woulda, shoulda, coulda,........

Yawn....

Give it up, people! The race is over, the fuel stop happened, and guess what, it's not the first sprint car race to have a fuel stop. The Ironman 55 the week prior to Knoxville had a fuel stop, too. And they had announced it advance, too.

But the Knoxville race is over, it's history, and, like it or not, Schatz won. But it's not the first sprint car race to havea fuel stop, and it won't be the last. So, if you don't like fuel stops, don't go to the sprint car races...because there will be other races with fuel stops, planned or otherwise.......

But this has been discussed for two weeks, and I'm tired of looking at it!

I must agree somewhat with the impossibility of a red flag fuel stop..............makes it impossible to have any similiarity of an exciting finish...jmo

man up and tank up (bigger cell that is)

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...
