Thanks for the captions, too. I'd seen most of these guys race at point in my life, which shows how old I am!

Awesome stuff! Thanks for posting! These drivers and cars are what made me fall in love with sprint car racing when i was a kid.

There is a pic of Mike Antonelli in a weird looking contraption. What is the cable looking thing from the cage by his left elbow to the front end? Very odd looking car.

It looks like it goes to the torsion arm area on the left front. Maybe an early weight jacker?

Wow! Great pictures, I've never been to Knoxville, but I did see 85% of these cars and drivers at the '79 Western World. Won by Tim Green in the #55 Jenson Construction, chased by Steve Kinser in the Karl Kinser #11 Thanks.

Older than dirt right Sprinter 25?? I remember these cars running also. Thanks for sharing Lee. Those are some great photos of some great racers!!!
