Did you see that?! Highlights of the A-Main are on Knoxville's video page. That was an incredible save.

This year was his 32nd start in the A main in a row and he is also 3rd on the all time win list at Knoxville with 58. I would assume that all the wins were WoO races.

I compare watching Steve Kinser to Brett Favre coming up here to play for the Vikings. They're both living legends, they have both p*ssed me off more times than I can count but the closer they get to hanging up their helmets the more I appreciate having been able to watch them. I have a great deal of respect for Steve Kinser, not just for his accomplishments over the years but knowing what it's like just to crawl out of bed and go to work in the morning at our age I have to appreciate a guy who's still running up and down the road racing against the younger guys. H*ll, I'm so old anymore I can't even remember why I wasn't cheering for him. Go Steve!!!

Steve had a great save about 10 years ago also. In a wreck on the end of the backstretch his car got up in the air about 3 feet , did a 360, and landed back on it's wheels. That may have been some luck but with a bent wheel or rearend , can't remember, he brought the car home 4 in the heat to make the transfer. Looked like it was shaking itself to pieces. That's gutting it out and man-handling a race car.

How many times has he started 10th in a heat race at the nationals and had the lead coming out of turn 2------------------------on the first lap.

Well 12 of them were Knoxville Nationals.

I'd say skip Speeds coverage and let Knoxville Raceway do it. That was awesome!

We were in the Hall of Fame and saw Steve do his wheelie. I would have sworn that he did a 360. The video is great but the view from the HOF was awesome. You could see under the car and just knew it was going over and then he sat it down in the right direction. He sat it down pretty easy, but he might of knocked the toe in or out of the front wheels. lol It was really a great sight.
