Is it just me or does it seem like this Nationals is shaping up to be one of the best ever? Of course you've got the 3 time defending champ coming with their program running normally well. Dollansky has some newfound speed with Bonzai in his corner, and I doubt Joey will be far behind. PA's strongest cars are on their way or already here, along with some Bad-Ass boys from Cali., to do battle against what has been toughest local contingent Knoxville has seen in some time! This field lead by the favorite to break Schatz' streak, Terry McCarl. Along with Thurs. winner Wayne Johnson, Terry goes for his 3rd 360 Nats. crown tonight starting 2nd with Wayne 4th. Where else would you rather be??????

I'm stoked man. I'm sittin in my living room 800 miles away wishing I could be there havin a cold one at Dingus right now. Tonights program may be one of the best tickets you can buy for the whole week. A stout field of 410's and the 360 championship decided. My flight leaves at 7am Sunday and I can't believe another year has come and gone. It's Nationals time again baby!!!!! Lets get it on!!!!!

Savage, I never thought I would say it, but if your boy wins tonight and puts himself in a position to double up, come Saturday, I will wear my McCarl shirt, yes, I have one with him waving as he goes by, and cheer for him to do the double and be the king of the sprintcars for doing the impossible if winning the Nationals in two classes. You know me and you know I am a man of my word.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

It sounds like a fun time but I don't have the resources or available vacation to go down there and we cut our Dish package down to the basics so I no longer have the Speed Channel. I've got a full weekend of racing scheduled at our local tracks so I won't be listening online because I won't be home until after the races.
For me it's just another week here locally but I've been to the Nationals twice and can understand the excitement. It's shaping up to be a great Nationals. Have a safe and fun week and be sure to bring home some stories for those of us who cannot be there.
Just looked at the web site and they have approximately 8,000 sat night tickets available yet, lots of people going to miss the gret final night and hopefully first time winner!
yes i am ready to get back to k-ville. i was there in may for the outlaw opener, 100 plus cars with the 410's and 360's. be there friday and saturday nights racing. awesome sight on saturday night with all the sprint cars!!!
It does seem like the intensity is definitely amped up this year. Although the economy has the crowds down everyone is very pumped. With Shatz going for 4 and everyone trying to knock him off people are excited. No place better than Knoxville...Buy your 50/50 tickets and support the drivers.

yes, been three good nights, and 7 more to go!

There are 8,000 tickets still available? How does that compare to recent years? I have not been to the Nationals in a decade, but that sounds like a lot of tickets still left on the week of the race.
With the economy the way it is, it was great to see over 100 360's and 42 = 410's on Saturday night. Hoping that it makes the 410 Nationals even better this year. It appears so far there will be a great field of cars.
It was great to see Wayne Johnson and Billy Alley with great finishes after both have been struggling this season. Hope to see them both in the A main on Saturday night.
