I applaud their passion & loyalty to their drivers, but it does go over the top at times. They forget that the uniqueness of the track weighs in heavily sometimes.

The uniqueness is not a relevant reason for the local racers to win. Nearly every Outlaw team has turned hundreds of laps at the Grove, with the exception of Ellenberger. The bottom line is that there is no other local track or region of the country that can and does compete with the travellers the way that Central Pa does. I will say that they are also challenged when they visit Ohio, Iowa and California but they don't have the depth of competition that they see in Pa. I doubt that it would be a stretch to say that every WoO team would agree with this. I'm not from Pa but I do frequent the Grove and would call it, along with Lincoln my home tracks. I do agree that it's a useless debate but some of the posts/responses are merely to stir the pot.

+1. I also agree that the Outlaw/Posse debate is stupid and has been played out years ago. I take no objection to the posters on here that are fans of the Outlaw teams and want to see them do well. But the bashing of PA fans, teams, drivers and tracks that goes on here on a regular basis is rather over the top. The Posse Vs. the World argument is the reason why this message board is nowhere near what it was years ago.

I don't think the Posse vs the World argument is what has caused the "somewhat" lower racing IQ of this board. Years ago only "smarter" folks knew how to use a computer - now they're so easy to use even a Caveman can do it.

I dunno, the board definitely has a bad reputation among many people as well. When I read a news item on here and mention it to friends at the race, I am often greeted by a response of, "All people do on that board is bash each other and the drivers." The amount of posts on here seem way down compared to what it used to be. Of course, this week's WoO shows at the Grove are going to get tons of responses no matter who wins. But most of the racing threads on here get no more than a couple replies. Ten years ago, this used to be the best racing message board on the Internet. Now, the board is pretty much just a Posse/Outlaw argument for the millionth time.

It doesn't matter as long as the grandstands are packed at the Grove tonight. Brian Brown will get one soon and McCarl is looking good going into the Nationals. Yours is coming.

Click on home above, and you will find just a few of the specialised and regional forums that they have nowadays. I'm sure that had made a difference in the amount of traffic as well.

Huh, what? I guess I don't understand what your meaning.
We don't do Brown or McCarl's engines anymore. Our engines have won at Williams Grove and a few other PA tracks plus our engines have won the Nationals twice, with Sammy Swindell in 1983 and Danny Lasoski in 1998.
What do you mean by ours is coming?
