The Midwest Allstars are running friday night (July 24th) at Spoon River Speedway in Canton Illinois. If anyone is the area on Friday night this is a race you should come and see. The track is a fast high banked 3/8ths. Some call it the best kept secret in Illinois.

The track is primarily a late model track so the promoting is usually pretty poor for any type of sprint racing. Just thought I would let everyone know!

Is this sarcasm or posted somewhere?

Just a little sarcasm. I would imagine anywhere from 23-28 sprints. Its sad cause this is a great track. The Allstars came through in 2005 and Danny Smith and Chad Kemenah both stated it was a great track to race on. Danny Smith stated, "It is Illinois best kept secret."

For a College graduation gift my Dad bought me 5 laps in the Allstar two-seater that night after the feature. All week the track took rain so it was tacky all night long. By far one of the collest moments in my life. Dean Jacobs was banging the right rear off the cushin all five laps. He has it wide open. Simply AWESOME!!!

The All Star show there was pretty awesome. I remember Manny Rockhold just abusing the cushion in his heat race.

I'd guess 25-30 for tomorrow, depending on if any area 360s show up. If it slicks off, they can compete. Would be interested in going, but can't make it. Love the track though.

Looking forward to visiting this track... wish they ran more winged sprint shows!
