Sorry everyone I know this question has been asked before but I could not find the post. Anyway, I was making some changes to my Dish Network account. Does anyone know if the Outdoor Channel will be showing any World of Outlaws races or will it just be ESPN2 and SPEED? If the Outdoor Channel will no longer be showing races I am dropping the channel since that was my whole reason for having it. Thank you in advance, Sprinterfan.

My dish network was so screwed up that I wouldn't take it back as a gift.

I had it for awhile last year for the same reason you have it, and it was the most miserable time I have ever had with a TV

I just dropped the Outdoor Channel from my DishNetwork bill as I have been told by a WoO series person that it is ESPN2 and Speed only for 2007.

Speaking of DishNetwork, while canceling the Outdoor Channel, I was shocked to learn that the $5 monthly Program Access Fee on my bill is because I don't have a phone line plugged into my Dish Receiver. How on earth would the common person figure out that Program Access Fee means No Phone Line Plugged In! Heck ... it was their so-called "professional installers" that put my system in and failed to connect a phone line or even tell us it was required. So I think I am due a $60 credit for a year's worth of those charges. But all the customer service rep could do was keep apologizing for his installers error. I think he got tired of listening to me and finally gave me a $10 courtesy credit after I threatened to cancel the service entirely.

Has anyone else had this happen? Why is a phone line connection necessary anyway?

When I call to cancel the Outdoor Channel I am going to ask about the phone line thing because their professional installers put mine in as well.

What happened to the USAC races on the Outdoor Channel? Did that fall through? If so I might as well cancel also. Would love to see some non wing stuff.

The phone line connection is for ppv ordering. I had dish for 2 years, and only time i plugged in the phone line was to order wrestling ppv's, ufc ppv's, movies, and the occasional adult flick

I called and canceled the channel this afternoon. The man tried talking me into a bigger package since I was dropping that channel. He said I would only have to pay $7 more a month. $84 extra dollars a year ... NO THANKS. Thank you for your help everyone. I have ESPN 2 and SPEED so I am looking forward to the sprint races this summer.

So I need a phone line connected to make it easier to order PPV. Hmmm ... if I don't want to order PPV shows, why is it a prerequisite to have it plugged in ? I just don't get the necessity of the $5 charge per month for not having the receiver plugged in to a phone line. I think it is extremely misleading on DishNetwork's part to call that $5 charge a Program Access Fee.
