Chris I know things didn't go as well as one would of hoped Saturday night with the low GSC car count, your scoreboard going out after quaifying and then the transformer blowing causing a lights out situation, all of which was out of your control! What you did do was promote Golden State, offer up $500 to make the feature, a wheelie contest and you packed the house for a return of the winged cars. Probably one of Santa Maria's largest crowds, if not largest.
It was nice to be back racing at Santa Maria. This was our first time there with a wing after years of racing with the Bandits and USAC in non-wing and we had a great time. The "We Love Wings" on the turn 2 wall was a nice touch!
Hopefully you will have GSC back and with a much larger car count in the future.
Thanks again, it's great to see Santa Maria back in capable hands and making a terrific comeback. I think you are doing a great job.
Linda

I also wanted to say we had a great time at the race too! It was our first time there and I was impressed with the facility and everyone was soo nice and helpful! Even though the lights went out it was still a good show regardless of the car counts. I also really liked that they didn't have a curfew. I would like to go back someday and hopefully our economy will improve and bring higher car counts
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting

Maybe the Motorsports Press Association will remember Santa Maria's Chris Kearns when it comes to voting for Promoter of the Year.

They should have thought of him a couple years ago when he had the Western All Stars. CK is one hell of a promoter. He's both driver and fan friendly.
