The glory days of Steve and Sammy are getting rare you never know when it will be the last standoff at the Knoxville Nationals will be.So soak it in my fellow dirt junkies. There may not be many more with both. Love them or hate them or both they have have been a blast to watch and sprint car racing was lucky to have this great rivalries maybe one of the greatest rivalries in all of auto racin in our time.

Have to agree with you 100%. I've been a Steve Kinser fan since my first WoO race back in 1981. Sammy won that night, but the way Steve tracked him down and did all he could do to pass him was something I'll never forget. It was that way for me for years, just couldn't stand Sammy. But over the years I grew to respect Sammy for what he was and all that he did to get to the top! It is very sad to see these two racing together coming to an end!!!! It happens to all great athletes, time finally catches up to you, and it has for both of them, the wins just don't come as easy or as often. It has been one hell of a ride over the years!! I for one will be at Knoxville soaking it all up.

Besides Kinser, Swindell, Lasoski & Haudenschield there isn't a whole lot to look forward to in the WoO. The so called 2G is like watching paint dry.

You can't complain about the drivers in the 2nd generation...you have to complain about the racing itself. The WOO has changed. Sprint cars have changed. It's just not the same as it was 30 years ago or even 20 or 10. The drivers are doing what they have to do to win. The game has changed and that is where your complaint should be, not on the drivers.
