anymore I am going to hurl. If you are in ninth place on the 29th lap what would stop you from trying to slow down and let one car by so you can get the bonus money. For that fact why would the 10th place guy want to pass the slowing 9th place guy? You may have a bunch of guys stopped on the track right before the starting line saying "I ain't goin, you go". Mad Mike is raiding every thread LOL.

just love the " Ur # 1. wave " from fellow racers as
we head home to our other lives !

Racing for the spot BEHIND you at Lawton is nothing new. My Pop was driving there in the late '60s. Just before a heat race one time they announced the top 5 cars were going to be checked for displacement right after each heat race. He knew he was illegal, he knew most everybody else was too for the most part. He was running 4th trying like hell to get back 2 more spots, eventually he ran fifth. 6th place was impossible, Randall Busby was going so slow the air was going in reverse through the cockpit!LOL
Oddly, everybody passed the engine check.

That is funny stuff.....lol
I dont think its going to be that big of an issue. Most guys from positions behind 5th have a hard time knowing their position on the track.
Just flow with it.....lets have some fun with it and see how they handle it.
My view is its not going to matter much as they will be headed for the front to win and could care less for the sweet middle they want the whole Krispy Kream !
