Maybe this is old news but I just noticed there will be a delayed taping of the Dodge City WoO race on tomorrow (Saturday) at 12pm west coast time on Speed
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the

Just a note to you Kelly. I was @ Santa Maria for the USAC/CRA race a couple of weeks ago. It was my first time there after driving past it from the freeway many times. You should really enjoy yourself as the new track promoter, Chris Kearns (sp?), has done a great job there. As you may know, every seat is a good one as you look down on the racing surface. Fan friendly race track and very clean restrooms and concession areas. We had a great time! Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the info! We have driven by the track every year during Thanksgiving time to visit my family in Thousand Oaks and I alway told my dad that next time the GSC is there we have to go! I am really looking forward to going there and making a weekend out of it as well. We also plan on going to the beach, hot springs, and maybe Solvang. It looks like a neat little track and anytime I get to go to a new track I am pretty happy, he he Tracks I still want/need to go to in CA are Perris and Ventura! Are you going to the GSC race also? I heard the USAC/CRA guys put on a good show!

If you ever get the chance to visit Perris you will be impressed. First off it is a clean and fan-friendly facility and the promoters do a great job keeping their program moving. The best traditional sprint car drivers and racing on the west coast - IMHO. Track announcer Scott Daloisio is the best and keeps race fans informed and entertained all night with a terrific sound system (good music in between featuring AC/DC's Thunderstruck that rocks the joint). Great interviews with Chris Holt and Ronnie Everhart make the night. Won't be able to make the GSC show and I am not much for the wingers though the drivers are very good. It is a long drive from Long Beach/Lakewood and I am not getting any younger. Have fun at Santa Maria!
