Went to Petaluma on Saturday and watched a great race. The 360 sprints only had 16 cars but you don't need a huge field for a good show. Alissa Geving & Bradley Terrell started in the 4th row and both moved through the field for 1st & 2nd finish. The track was rough down low but the few drivers that were brave enougth to go high, made it a great show. The non wing sprints had nearly 30 cars! Wild race with 1st, 2nd & 3rd all crashing while battling for the lead. One car nearly flipped out the place taking out a huge chunk of the turn 1 wall. Overall, great show by all four classes.

Special thanks for the Geving family and Simpson family & crews for letting our child (2 years old) run through the trailer and sit in the car. Nice to see all the drivers & haulers stick around after the race to hang out and have a few cold ones with the fans.

It was a great race. Her and Bradley were really fast. She came through the pack fast. 8th to 3rd in a couple laps. Bradley got bunched up at the beginning but made it up to second. Norm Johns is looking strong since coming back. And congrats to Terry Schank on the win in the Spec. Great crowd. A lot of people in the stands. Great onion rings. A lot of fun in the pits afterwards.

The driver in the spec sprint is Frank Addiego out of Redwood City, he is a rookie this year, coming out of the 600 micro sprints. He broke his back in that wreck, and had surgery this week. He is still in the hospital in Santa Rosa, and is expected to he there another 5 -7 days. I spoke to him today, he said they were going to try to get up and walking in the next couple days. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Frank and his daughter, Nicolette.

Yes, the hospital he is in is Memorial, thanks for asking. I think fellow racers should show their support and let him know they wish him well, he is one of the nicest guys I know.
