I am trying to plan a trip thanks to some last minute vacation that needs to be used. Would like to see Ohio Speedweek but can't get there until Wednesday, which means Waynesfield. But the Thursday is open then Friday Lima and Sat Eldora. Was thinking about heading to PA to catch the opening of their Speedweek, but must depart of July 2nd. PA also has an open date on Monday. Does anyone know what the deal is on these open dates?

Thanks.

Eldora is the second night of speedweek, not the final this year. The final night is fremont this year.

Thanks slave. When I typed this, I was under the impression that Eldora was last. Then I caught in on the schedule when I was using streets and trips to figure out mileage. Still does not help my problem, other than the fact I would probably skp Fremont for Lincoln. I am not a huge Fremont fan due to the dry slick. The best show I ever saw there was 2 years ago speedweek when it rained about .75 in until noon the day of the race. Track was tacky but still managed to slick off by feature time.

Thanks a bunch for the info on that being a raindate. Does it state that anywhere?

I'm not trying to talk up Fremont by any means ( i don't care for the place much either) but if you haven't been there in awhile, you might want to re-think. They have most definitely found the keys to the water truck. Attica has been 3 times more dry/slick than Fremont all season! Fremont is almost to the point of overwatering if anything this year.

I cant find anything on an official statement about the raindate but i remember reading that a long time ago when schedule was announced. With the way the weather looks for the first 4 shows, We'll have to wait and see if or who gets to make up their race come Thursday?

I have to agree with Meatbag. New promoters took over the track last year and they have been working the track a lot more than the previous ones. That's not to say anything negative about the Ford family. Without them that track might still be sitting dormant. As race fans we owe a lot of thanks to them.

The allstar show earlier this year at fremont was an absolute blast. Lee Jacobs put on a helluva show at the end trying to chase down Danny Smith. That race was an instant classic.
