Brad Loyet, Scott Hatton and Mike Hess have more than made up for any missing entries. The show at Wilmot this past Saturday was excellent.
Indy Midget Week took at least Jerry Coons Jr., Brad Kuhn, Tracy Hines, Zach Daum and maybe some other Sunday drop-ins but that was expected.
Matt Smith suffers the rear end getting torn up at Wilmot, maybe just not ready for Sunday.
Hans Lein sold everything (?) so the No. 2 is....Which leaves Michael Pickens in Australia or whatever he is up to these days.
Davey Ray is sidelined with injury.
David Gough is....
Joe Wipperfurth Jr. was last spotted running a 360 in the MSA deal.
Nick Lundgreen is....
Buddy Leubke is...
Robbie Ray is...
Tim Noble is...
Just that right there is about another whole field of cars and drivers not with us this past weekend and for most of the season so far. Been having around 20 give-or-take entries for the season on average.
But as long as Hess, Loyet, Hatton and a resurgent Chad DeSelle along with ever a threat-Gary Altig and the lovely Courtney Erfurth learning the ropes-it's been some good competition. Plenty of last lap lead changes this season at Angell has added to some exciting racing.
