What happened to Dan Simpson? He hasn't raced in a few months. Business slow?

Fredenberg & Statler have ran all year. They may sit out a race or two but Simpson went from two car WoO team with Destiney Hayes, to one car GSC team, to no racing.

I would have to think that the economy as well as being "SHUNNED" by Golden State, may have had something to do with his descisions. But I cannot forgive the man for not providing a cockpit for "MY DESTINEY" to show off her skills in this year!!! lmao

Why not thank him for allowing her to race last year?

I dont know about the "shunning" part, that may be true I don't know but some people on the Skipper's board really and repetedly lit in to him which at the time I thought would run him off. Maybe it did.
Personally, I'd like to see Dan back

Maybe with the economic downturn he decided to focus on his business...he does have a very substantial business.
And the shunning wasnt by the teams in GSC it was by fans. Just so happened that a few weeks in a row he happened to be involved in some big accidents and like all accidents people like to blame the old guy.
Dan is a nice guy and I hope to see him back in the GSC ranks sometime soon.

I agree, It was nice to see Dan out on the track. He seemed to get faster each year in the 410. Hopefully we see him back soon in GSC!

Dan has working on his business and spending a lot of time in Canada.
In had a meeting with Dan on Wednesday and he plans to run a few events starting in July..maybe Antioch.
Check the Dan Simpson web site for updates in about two weeks.
Bottom line...Two race teams was taking too much time and money from the company and his team.
I will send a press release once I have a firm schedule for the remainder of the year.
