Lot of Bruised Weiners last night in the Sprints.OUCH!

But those Outlaw Mini Stocks with the WIDE Tires now that was some good stuff and especially the one that had the toilet seat clamped on the back of his rear bumper , guess he had some motive for it , but he did run last in every race he ran. So don't think many got to see it.

That Hornet race at Dodge City was legendary!!! especially doubled with the commentary from the Traveling Sooners (and a misplaced Buckeye LOL) that were in attendance that night.

they should televise the hornets and mini stocks. Big hearts and lots of horsepower!

I kept wandering why Thriller was turnin the camera off during the mini's - it was the marquee attraction - what we were ALL there to see.

lmao

Good one, Bandit! Enjoy the pics. Keep up the good work!

That wasn't you, tho, leaning on the light pole and knocking out the lights, was it? lol!!

Can you believe the problem with the lights!!!!! At 9:27, there were only 3 races left and one of those ran flag to flag. I told one of the guys that was shooting down in 3 & 4 after the lights went out the first time....hey, all we need now is for a train to come by......should have kept that tought to myself.

But all in all, some pretty good racing.

that was a hell of a race. For Creek that track was absolutely perfect. I think it makes a HUGE difference when the Front Wheel drives and modifieds aren't there to rut the track up - nothing against those classes. but like all the Sooner region races - they run all the other classes too - and the track is never near that good. Very few times I have seen Creek actually have a low AND a HIGH groove in 3 and 4. And the top of 1 and 2 actually stayed there all night - but man.....it must of had some gremlins to it lol.

Wescoe, my nephew Drifters, and myself was leaving there feeling very much like we got our moneys worth. A very good weeknight show - it sure as hell doesn't feel like wednesday night right now.

Even young Drifters - 9 years old and this is like his 12th speedweek. Of course - this is our personal speedweek and we have a few of em throughout each year. Hit (1) SFS friday (2) I-44 Saturday (3) Creek on tuesday and now (4) SFS Friday and (5) Lawton on Saturday. I think it's like 5 races in 8 nights - not bad for a lil speedweek. We'll have another quasi-oklahoma speedweek in august with the 2 sprint bandit shows and ASCS Sooner all on successive nights. And there is always Knoxville lol.

It's pretty cool to have so many good photographers and video(ographers? lol). Bandit, Thriller, Chunks, Mudslinger. Thats an impressive kick ass click of lensmen (say that 5 times fast lol). and they're all good folks. You know you're at a good show when you see any/all of these fellas there. Awfully cool of em to put some highlight pics/vids on this forum too Smile Thanks and keep it up fellas

Man we should have like a lil fantasy shootout between the lensmen - lmao - thats actually a neat idea. to be continued.....

And BANDIT - stay away from them leaning light poles damn it! troublemaker! lmao maybe thats why so many vets kept loopin it over in 1 and 2 - Bandit was messin with the lighting/their vision. lmao. j/k btw.

Be nice guys, the mini-stocks were rewarded w/ this race because we have averaged 30 cars every night. We work just as hard on our cars as anyone. You won't find a more competetive division in the state. 7 different winners in 9 nights. Who can claim that in a weekly series?

I love Sprint cars just like most everyone else, but finances keep me in the Mini, I would jump in a Modified but I would only race at Outlaw w/ it and everyone knows what it takes to finish in the top 10 out there.

48miniRacer, Just curious was watchin those Outlaw Mini Stocks at Creek Tues. night and what would a power plant run like what was in the 32 or 33 or the 12 car which all ran up front and were fast, I heard from a guy at Meeker who runs a Mini Stock say that he has Esslinger out of California do some of his machine work and gets his parts from Esslinger as well. What does it cost to run Up Front in an Outlaw Mini Stock?

It just depends on what is allowed.

In terms of the 32 car at Creek, that car isn't Creek Legal. I can't say anything for Austin McSperritt but to give you an idea of what is available:

Creek Legal Motor

2.3 liter Engine, Wiseco Pistons, Crower 5.7 long rods, big solid lifter cam and a good setup will keep you up front for around $4000 built by a pro, or $3000 built in your shop. That's including all of the accessories and everything, race ready. 160-170 HP

Brill Legal

Same as above - add port n polish - add $500-1000. 200 HP

True Outlaw Motor

2.7 liter Stroker Engine w/ Billet Crank, JE Pistons, 5.5 Ultralight rods, Solid Roller Cam, Ported out from Intake to Exhaust w/ Tri-Y header Your in for $5500 if you can build it yourself, $9000 if you let a pro do it and dyno it for you. 250-260 HP

I am in the first tier when it comes to motors. The last true Outlaw type motors is more of a Pro-4 type motor, and as you can see with the cost is the reason Pro-4s aren't around any more.
