Back in 1991 a kid named Blake Robertson (sp) raced in the Knoxville Nationals. I believe he was about 17 years old at the time and was from somewhere in California. It was his first time at the track and although he didn't have a good finish to speak of, he was actually pretty quick by the end of the week. I was just wondering what ever became of this kid. He seemed to be a pretty talented racer. Drove a yellow car at the time. I know this is a blast from the past and a pretty vague description but does anybody have any information on what he's doing or has done since then? Thanks!

I wish I had a better answer, but I just read an article on him the past couple weeks or so that he was a youngest at the Nationals and would most likely hold that record as they have changed the rules. You might check the last couple issues of SC & Mor Flat Out. I have been checking and just can't put my finger on the article. Maybe someone else also remembers it and can help.

My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Super Blake Retired about 2-3 years ago, on rare occasions he still races but he is normally too busy running his business. BR Motorsports

Anybody there for Darrell Hanestad's wild ride into the trees off of 3-4 at Calistoga? Blake's dad Broc Robertson owned that car.

Thank you all for the info! Now I don't have to wonder anymore.

Hello--

I did an interview with Steven Tiner for FlatOut Magazine. Steven is a BR Motorsports employee. It was the April '09 issue. Steve Kinser was on the cover, whom I interviewed as well. I'm not sure if this is the same article that you speak of, but I hope this helps.

Respectfully,

Gary Costa

I like to think that I keep up to date on the latest sprint car news but apparently I fell WAY behind on this one.
