With five races in the books, the series has shown that the parity is at a level higher than what would be expected from a local series. Although Brent Kaeding leads the points, there has not been a driver who has accomplished two wins this year. Wright won the last round, BK took the opener. Tarlton, Sanders and Statler add to the list.
Just outside the top10 in the standings is Bud Kaeding in 11th. Quick time has been a 52-card pickup depending on the draw and track conditions.
Most suprising has been Justin Sanders run to 3rd at this point in the season. On top of one win, the young gun has sat up in the seat and got it done. The other suprise has been a bit of a sleeper as Ronnie Day, sitting in 6th, suffered through a string of mechanical issues early on but has been on the move in recent weeks.
Brad Furr is certainly no slouch when it comes to sprint cars with serious prior WoO experience. He has been showing signs of throttleness in between moments of just running around. He sits 4th in the standings only 19 points out.
Last and certainly not least is the driver sitting in 2nd place in points. Mr. Consistancy, Evan Suggs. He has a big nasty ZILCH-DOH in the win column, but he has put himself in the points because he can drive the wheels off the car. The win will come. It could be a Key Qualifying race, or The Key. But it will happen. The two things he hasnt done is start up front and lead 30 laps or about 7 caution stalled segments, or made a pass for the win. Might get both in the next few weeks.
Oh But Wait There's More.....
-Tarlton has a win, and can run two 25-lap segments up front.
-Wville has a 75 lap limit on fuel for sprint cars. We got a red in the Golden State Challenge race at lap 2. It includes push off and warm-ups. So, plan accordingly.
-Cowboy is 7th in points. Put him up front, with a good car, and this is a done deal. The question in can they nail it?
-Previous winner, Ricky Wright, has the confidence growing, he knows he can do it. The former Series Sponsors team has the assets and experience to pull it off.
-And just to finish this off, Anthony Simone is only 15th in points, even after all these years, but damn that dude can pull a tail dragger down the backstretch!

just a bit of clarification to give credit where credit is due. while brent is listed as being in the lead, suggs and brent are TIED, points wise for 1st place. brent may get the tie breaker by having a win, but the points are even.

still 2nd bananna tho. Might have a points race brewing! The qualifiers should be interesting. Washington and Oregon wont get in the way. No missed races, but lots of cleaning and prep.

just trying as i said to give credit where credit is due, and let people know we have a tie in points for the lead in the series. also we have 2 off weeks for this to brew as the next race is not till june 26 and will be a combo event with civil war. we will see what is in store and how the points are awarded for that. should be interesting.

Would you expect anything less from stu.Mr ocean PR cant even give credit where its due. If you remember evan has had the ponts lead a few weeks and brent just tied him. But i think there must be something in that water you drink, cause your recount of the races is pretty bad too. Good thing we have gary costa for accurate accounts of what goes on!!! Not hating just the facts!!!!
