This picture was sent too me by Don Hubbard. It was at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee from 1983 with Billy Moyers late model and Tony Armstrongs champ dirt car. I barely remember this was part of a match race between late models and champ cars - both mainstays of NCRA which brought large crowds to every event that was scheduled. Hope you old-timers enjoy and thanks Don for sending this.

Dave, I've told you about this race several times. I thought it was in '84 but could be off a year. It was held after a combined open wheel/late model show. I think Stoney might have won the match race. One of these days you're gonna start listening to me when I talk about these races.

Seeing the date stamp on pic, I really thought it was during the spring of '84 and not October '83.
