I want to "thank you" to the troops of the armed forces that gave their lives on the beach that day. You changed the course of history. We will fever forget how hard it was.
To the families that lost loved ones, feel good in the safety they protected so that we could have what we have now.
The world as we know it is not the serenity that we all want, but it takes time when some people want to disrupt it.
You have to rely on people willing to make that sacrifice and an established infrastructure to sustain it.
Your efforts are not unappreciated.
Thank you so much.

My dad went across Omaha beach in an armored division. I have always been in awe of what those
young men were able to do. We will forever be in their debt! All we can do for them is honor their
sacrifice and keep this country free . . . . Dad passed away in Feb 2007, 5 days after his 83rd
birthday. We're running out of members of that generation to thank.

I agree Grove. I spent 10 years hunting Russian Submarines and felt I was doing my part in service to my country during the cold war. And although I entered the Navy during the Vietnam conflict and made some sacrifices that were tough, I was never able to imagine what those that fought for our country during WW1 and WW2 and the Korean conflict went through. I will always owe them a huge debt. I however always felt that I was doing my part after my Father explained to me what it meant to serve based on his service in the Air Force in Korea. He passed in 1998 and left me wondering how many we have left from the Korean Conflict. Remember, it wasn't a "war".
