A lot of crashes...enough that they needed a fuel stop. Everyone had their hands full. Rained this morning. Track was rough and narrow. They weren't even sure if they were going to get it in or not. 90 minute delay. Track was graded several times. A lot of action as can be imagined...looked like a cross between a CORR offroad race and a sprint car race...lol. Dewease got Hodnett in lap traffic at the end. Exciting finish. Montieth was also balls to the wall as usual. Rahmer looked like a fish out of water and then broke a rear putting him out of his misery.

AWESOME DAY! If you weren't there then you have no right to talk. It does not have to be 70 degrees to have a race. It was choppy, but there are tracks that it will be choppy in April. The Central PA fans spoke loud and clear with their standing room only attendence... The fans and drivers are a hearty group. Racing in Central PA is not for the timid or easily offended.

The most passionate fans in racing, bar none. Passion however, does cloud the judgment once in a while, lol. Read Bill Myer's report, sounded like a heckuva day, job well done! It always helps having one of the premier track prep men in the country to go with one of the best announcers to keep you entertained and informed, my favorite track East of that Border known as Ohio. Take It Easy....

I'm not from PA, but if there's no snow on the ground and the drivers want to race on a rough track, let em do it. Sometinmes the worst track conditions make for the most exciting races. Just look at what happened at the Canadian sprint car nationals last year. Extremely exciting, but very rough track.

Well for the fans that were not there, it was a exciting race and finish, as far as the track being rough that can happen anytime, anywhere its DIRT. Sure did beat a black rubber down track with a prade race. Not the worst track conditions I ever saw.

Dewease Steals Win On Final Lap In Lincoln Opener.... http://www.ijustwannarace.com/news3-4-07.htm
Dewease praised track preparer Fred Putney in victory lane.
“Fred Putney does a heck of a job with this race track and this track is not his fault at all,” he spoke of the ruts in the corners. “He’s one of the best track preparers around. This track just has way to much moisture in it to even race on it.” Fortunately, no cars flipped but there were several mishaps during the day.
Dewease’s win came aboard the Vogele, Hank’s Performance Products, Pete’s Bridge Street Motors, Bumper Bobs, Rider Racing Engines powered No. 25 Maxim chassis.
“We work every hard trying to find sponsors to help keep this deal going and our sponsors are all a big help,” commented Dewease. “We don’t have all the money that people think we do and everyone works very hard to help keep this deal going. We do the best we can with what we have and when we run short, we run short and we’ll worry about getting it built back up later.”
