In tribute to Rip Williams' induction into the Sprint Car Hall of Fame this weekend, here's The Ripper winning the inaugural SCRA race held at Ventura, November 13 1993. Congratulations and have fun back there. I'm sure he considered bolting on a wing and racing!

Thanks Jeff and congrats to the Ripper for the award, in the video it look like the stands were packed and it went green to checker.

The stands were absolutely packed that night. It was very cold also. That it went green to checkers was amazing. How many races were run at spacious Perris before they had a green to checkers? Although the speed differential makes it like apples to oranges.
