Sherveport's Joey Raborn who holds the 2008 Pro 600 VDTRA National #1 Plate, will lead the two wheel "steel shoe" mad men of motorsports into the Lightning C Arena this weekend as the 2nd Annual AMP Power-Fest invades McAlester, Oklahoma May 15-16.

Raborn, who competes in the Vintage division of motorcycle Flat Track racing, won the Pro 600 title in 2008 competing on the VDTRA National circuit. The name Vintage is a bit mis-leading as the machines Rayborn competes on a far from Vintage other than the year the engines were first manufactured. The big Thumper Single cylinder motorcycles in the VDTRA are air cooled versions of their counter-part modern liquid cooled engines.

In competition with Raborn will be the #1 Pro 600 plate holder Fred Mears from El Reno, Okalhoma. In addition to the long list of other AMP Outlaw Winter Nationals series #1 division/class riders including this year's Overall #1 rider Frankie Bardaro out of Harrah, Oklahoma.

Two complete different forms of racing will be on the card for the weekend, including a Trophy Trials race on Friday night May 15 which includes right and left hand turns and a jump. Due to the types of machines used for competition in both the ATV and Motorcycle divisions the racing is similar to Motocross as the tires are knobbies or dirttrack, the jump is not as wild as a big double, but with a touch of Supermoto. Saturday night May 16 the spotlight is on the Short Track discipline of the sport. Run on an oval track with all left hand turns the motorcycle racers rely on a steel shoe on their left boot to control the bike in the turns. Both super tight Indoor tracks are built on the same size arena as Arenacross, the fans are treated with close up handle-bar to handle-bar dirt in your face action.

Another National #1 racer from the AMA ATVA Quad Division will lead the ATVs into the Lightning C Arena on Fiday and Saturday nights.

Kacee Frazier, who comes from a long line of racing family including the late Pete Frazier, will be in competition this upcoming weekend. But not in Sprint Cars as her father Billy Frazier, Uncle Charlie Frazier, and others in the family including the late Bob and Pete Frazier drove. The young lady from Owasso, Oklahoma competes on the newer modern form of machines called ATVs, or QUADS as the oval and TT racers like to call them.

Frazier, a 15-yr-old student in Owasso schools, has traveled the country with her dad Billy Frazier who is the crew chief and master engine builder along with handling the teams hauler and other duties. Billy, also competed on Quads a few years ago before focusing his time with daughter Kacee on her new racing career. And quite a career it has become with multiple championships including a coveted AMA ATVA Number One Plate in 2007.

Frazier competes on short track ovals and TT courses, which for Quads are large 1/2 mile or longer tracks mostly outdoors with bowl turns, steep jumps, rollers and left and right hand turns. Kacee has now stepped up to the higher divisions in Quad racing and has her sights on another Number One Plate. This weekend Frazier will be competing along side of the AMP Outlaw Winter Nationals Number 1 plate holder in the Quad Blaster division Tristan McElyea from .

Riders heading to McAlester include these top Quad kids:

15-yr-old Krazy Kacee Frazier out of Owasso, Oklahoma.
The'07 Extreme Dirttrack ATVA Nationals.
National Number 1 rider in 90 Production CVT.

Garrett Keister out of Harrison, Arkansas
Ranked 3rd in the Duro 2008 ATVA National Extreme
Dirt Track Series. 90 Prod CVT Division.

Sounds like there will be some Thunder both outside and inside the building Friday Night at the Lightning C Arena.
