Kansas City has been blessed with some special families over the years but now comes the loss of a huge cog in the family of Clyde Ellis.Debe Ellis Loos, daughter of Clyde and Joan Ellis, and wife of Terry Loos passed away on Friday night,May 8th,2009.

Because of the efforts and financial support of this family,Kansas City has the fine facility known as Lakeside Speedway. When the old Lakeside Speedway bit the dust there were many people that stepped up and created the new and better one.But none gave so much or so often as the Clyde Ellis family.

For anyone from this area they know the Ellis family because of their ownership of Seeburg Muffler.Located on the corner of Burlington and Armour in North Kansas City,MO, Seeburg Muffler has retained a prominent position there for Lo these many years, and if you ever walked through that door you were probably greeted by that smiling face known to most of her friends as Debe.Like her father, she tended to be a person of few words but due to a racing accident that robbed Clyde of the use of his left arm,she became Clyde's right hand as well as his left.

For all of us who knew her,she leaves a huge hole in our hearts that cannot be mended.

Funeral services will be Saturday,May 16th,2009.Check the K C Star on Wednesday for the obituary.
