Heat Race Notes:
H1:Suggs checked out completely, a yellow on lap 6 bunched em up but BK had nothing for him.
H2: Pylant in the 09 Kaeding House Car ran good for the win. Great Drive for Sanders finishing 3rd behind Tarlton.
H3: Newton ran a good race leading until lap 4 when Bud went by. The track was going away at that point, Ronnie Day couldnt do much and Cowboy was having handling problems.
On the side:
Got the crackberry working in the Bermuda Triangle! Woohoo!
American Stocks on the track for thier A right now, track is coming back into shape!
Light field for the non-wing cars this week

Thanks for the updates. Ocean seems to produce a lot of yellows & reds. Not sure if it's the tight, close racing or all the up & coming, younger drivers.

the track roughed up in spots after the stock cars and it seemed like it was slick getting off the top of turn 2, that is where guys had the most trouble, in the bumps in 1 and 2 and off 2. the track slicked off and what cushion there was, was way out there. guys were racing hard with each other and battling the track. still some good racing. when BK is hammering the top and can't pull the pass off around sanders who was glued to the bottom it gives you an idea of how things were. not bad mouthing anything, it just was what it was and everyone delt with it the best they could. sanders did a great job not giving up the bottom and not making any mistakes. if anyone was going to beat him they were going to have to drive around him and the track would just not allow that tonight.
i know it was a long race with the yellows and stuff at the beginning, but i still do not agree with calling the race five laps short, because of the amount of time it ran, when there was still 30 min till curfew. i think sanders would have still won, but there were battles further back that, given the chance, could have been better sorted out with a few more laps. guys were fighting so hard for positions from about 8th through 14th that on the last green, white, checkered restart guys were passing and running 3 wide before the cone. i think there were about 5 cars penalized after the race.
to indy and beyond!!

well I was late to the track tonight. I was testing my setup with the laptop teathered to the BB and gave it one last shot. BINGO! LOL. Ok, load up and go. Oh wait, kid delay. Then I was nervous that it wouldnt work due to my experience with the Cingular Air card and its POS connectivity. Fear not, it worked like a charm, never dropped once on me! woohoo! Mystery Of THe Bermuda Triangle solved! Set to go for next week.
Post race comments:
The frustration level from Evan and Bud were clearly evident in the frontstretch interviews. For Evan, it was definately one that got away and Bud was classic. It was something to the effect, "Ive been doing this for 10-11 years, I do this for a living. I dont lose to rookies. But he (Justin) drove a great race."
For the crowd, this was a popular win. They went nuts! He commented on the final caution, "when we were coming out of turn 4 and those guys got together in front of me I almost shit my pants." The crowd was howling, lol. I guessing he probably really does need some clean nomex. The leaders all went to the inside berm to avoid it. Im sure Mr. P wont mind the doughnuts on his infield grass. hahaha.

Buzz, when Rick made the call to go 25 laps, they were nearing another fuel stop situation and didnt want to do that on top of the fact that the running time was way over an hour by lap 17.
Yeah we had time to go another 5 laps, but the "what ifs" were apparently a little too spooky given the events of the race and the full moon, lol. Im not gonna fault em.
