Chris all the tracks north of you have cancelled for tomorrow, so we aren't racing and we'd love to come and watch at Santa Maria tomorrow but are worried about heading out only to find out it's been cancelled. Please post as soon as possible if you are going to be able to race tomorrow night.
Thanks in advance.

The track is officially still running! They expect a decent amount of rain but feel it will only help the surface since they were prepared for the rain. If you havent had a chance to see the new promoter Chris Kearns in action yet, you really should he puts on a good show.
The stands were absolutely packed last weekend. He has a charity fundraising dunk tank at each event. There is a new beer garden area with heaters and the plan is to install several televisions. The restrooms have some really cool vintage photos and programs from over the years at SMS.
There were over 100 cars entered in the pits and the show was run very smoothly. I expect the sprint car drivers to be very impressed by how Kearns runs things. He is very, very popular amongst the local fans and racers.
I say lets get some of the Nor Cal boys to drop off the wing and come race with the West Coast 360's you will enjoy a nice time at a great facility.
Oh yeah with the rules being opened up there should be no reason a Watsonville 360 winged car couldnt swing down and take the wing off for the night. This place has a renewed buzz about it and its great to see!
I cant wait for the big Golden State Challenge 410 race! I'll have the motorhome setup in the parking lot doing santa maria style bbq tri-tip, swing on by and grab a plate.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

Thanks, we'll keep an eye on the weather and website. We have heard a lot of good things about Chris and the way he runs his shows, we're so happy for Santa Maria.
If we don't make it to watch this weekend we'll be there racing with Golden State. Might just take you up on your tri tip offer!
Thanks
Linda
