FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WEST COAST SPRINT CARS INVADE SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY AND PROMOTER CHRIS KEARNS IS DOING IT IN STYLE!
(SANTA MARIA, CA - APRIL 29, 2009) This weekend (5/2/09), the newly announced West Coast 360 Sprinters will invade the Santa Maria Speedway. This will be the first of nine shows to be held on the always fast 1/3 mile oval and Chris Kearns is welcoming all competitors with an opportunity to do it in style!!
The famous CHALLENGE is up for grabs on top of the $1000 to win! One driver will be offered the opportunity to challenge there skills against some of the best drivers around. If this competitor is up to the challenge they will elect to start DEAD LAST in the 30 lap main event and if he can win it from the back he will be rewarded with a bonus $1000.
On top of this Chris has stated "Bring your best qualifiers to Santa Maria and I will take the top 4 qualifiers, completely invert them and give them 4 laps to fight it out for an additional $200!"
He is also welcoming all out of state cars 2 free pit passes for making the trip over as well as $100 for longest tow.
Don't forget West Coast Sprint Cars welcome all ASCS headed NON GASKET competitors, if you don't have ASCS heads you MUST run the gasket.
If you have any questions feel free to visit our website at www.RaceSantaMariaSpeedway.com and while you are there sign up for our E-Flyer at the top of the page.
See you this Saturday at the Santa Maria Speedway!

Is Santa Maria speedway really racing? I looked at their website and it doesn't look good! I was looking forward to going there in July for the GSC show. Anyone know what is going on there?
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the

Their racing this weekend with a new promoter now in place. As far as I know the GSC date, as well as the USAC/CRA date are on this year's schedule. There is however some controversy between last year's promoter, who appears to have lost his lease at the track, and the new promoter.

Hi Kelly
Not to worry, GSC is still on for July 11 and USAC/CRA for June 13 I believe. Go to chriskearnspresents.com and there you will find the newly founded Santa Maria Website.

I dont think the track has ever been in better hands since the passing of its founder Doug Fort. Kelly, if you come down for the GSC 410 race you will have a great time just get there early for a good seat its gonna be a FULL crowd.
This year is setting up to the best in a long time for SMS.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!
