Just checked with John Prentice and he said the track is the same size it's been since 2006. They justed moved the walls out, and added dirt to fill in the low spots. Mark Kinser's record of 10.949 was in 2000 on a 1/4 mile track. On their time trials print out from Saturday night it states 0.003 miles but the website still maintains it's a 1/4 mile.

they need to change that .003 track size. it is messing up the average speed numbers on my laps ect. the track is longer than three thousanths of a mile! lol. they need to correct it to .250 if they are calling it a 1/4 mile, which is what it is. when tracks are reconfigured to different lengths, there by affecting qualifying times, new records for that configuration are usually noted.
i just looked, and on my laps they have the track listed as 0.0025 miles! that is twenty-five hundred thousandths of a mile! hey john. think we can get that changed? lol. it is messing up my fuel milage calculations!
to indy and beyond!!
