Here is information that I have gathered about who is racing thus far today:

Elk Citys I-40 Speedway with NCRA rules on the modifieds and sport modifieds. Last week they had eleven modifieds and fifteen sport mods and got rained out after heat races. Here are the times they are starting...gates open 3pm, make-up 5-7pm, full show starting at 7pm. If your an NCRA guy then go support the track. Pro stocks, factory stocks and bombers also compete.

Enid Speedway Park is still running with normal modifieds, sport modifieds, street stocks, factory stocks and pure stocks. According to a source, since USMTS is rained out this weekend then Bryan Rowland, Derek Ramirez and Rodney Sanders have indicated their intentions on being there. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing at 7:00 PM.

Lake Country Speedway in Ardmore is still scheduled to run tonight their full program of IMCA type modifieds, sanctioned sport modifieds, hobby stocks, factory stocks and tornados. With alot of the tracks in Texas rained out, there are quite a few drivers from the Lone Star state headed for Ardmore as we speak. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing set for 7:30 PM.

Lawton Speedway is still on as scheduled with a 8:00 PM starting time with gates opening at 6:00 PM for champ sprints, modifieds, limited modifieds, factory stocks and mini stocks. The rained out feature for the limited modifieds will be the first to run tonight.

Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada is still scheduled to start at 7:30 PM with the makeup rained out features for the modifieds, sport modifieds and street stocks the first three races for the evening.

Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker is still racing at 7:30 PM with championship sprints, modifieds, limited modifieds, factory stocks and mini stocks.

Glad to hear that. We sure could use the extra cars here at Enid. Thanks David for the info.

According to Micheal on the metro board, Creek County has been canceled for this weekend. Lets hope Meeker stays dry.

Storms are starting to fire thoughout the state. NW part of OKlahoma is under a tornado watch. Keep your heads watching the weather just in case. Just added and it goes to 11pm tonight a Thunderstorm watch for most of Central Oklahoma reaching down to the Red River.

4:50 p.m.: Just came from Meeker; a few scattered sprinkles are here and there, but Mark's going for it; the track's prepped and cars are pulling in.

Meeker/BMS was rained out before all the heats were finished. We came home soaked before there was word if the races were officially called, but lots of trailers were leaving. Someone might post later if there'll be a make-up day or what.

If you did not get a refund, bring your wrist band next week and you can use it then, to get back in.

It was interesting to see people trying to get out of the pits once the rain hit. Brill had to use the dozer to get people out that had trouble.

We went to I-44 Speedway. They got 3 of the make-up A Mains completed (i think) and we could see the shower comin' up. It didn't look too bad - but just our luck that shower turned into gullywasher/monsoon.

That was before 8pm. They spent 2.5 hours tryin to get the track in order. Track just would not comply. They told everyone in the pits to bring their 4 wheelers out - but hardly anyone did. Then they got the 7 mini stocks out there plus a couple push trucks. That was truly adventurous. It was like syncronized reverse drifiting in turn 1. All 5 cars in a line would point the front end at the wall and let it drift with the front facing the wall until they could bring it back. They werent trying to at first - but after 3 or 4 wrecks and a push truck poppin' a left rear........

Then they told all the cars to bring em out except restricted and kid sprints. Not many did. They did that for a while and then started to hot lap them. About that time it was clear that track wasn't really gonna come back. Of course it was extremely heavy - but not a hard packed heavy - more like a slick goo everyone just slid around on. They ran the mini stock make up feature after that. I think that was enough for the micro drivers to say NO WAY. You couldn't even see the numbers on them mini stocks - and they were just sliding around dangerously. It was clear it just wasnt gonna happen.

They called it at 1030pm. Good thing - we would have been there till at least 330am or later. which was ok with me. hell, i just got home anyways lol. But nonetheless - just one of them raw deals from that bitch mother nature. one of those ironies where we dodge a 100% sure thing - and get drilled by a sparse 30%. I commend the track for being commited and stickin with it HARDCORE after the rain. But tt didn't matter how long they packed or hot lapped - it was clear during the mini stock feature - after 2 hours of adventurous packing - that it wasn't going to work.

I worried about the refund - because I couldn't go next week. Already had plans for my first Port City race. But they said the ticket was good for the next 2 weeks. I'm glad they did that, that was pretty cool of em for drivers and fans. It's a shame - I could tell from the few make up races they had - that especially later on in the show - it was gonna be really good.

Congrats to Harley White on her 4th place finish (started 7th) in the Restricted makeup feature. I already see a 30% chance next saturday for most of the state - hopefully we wont have the same results as the tonight and last saturday. The weather sure hasnt been very kind to the sport of dirt track racing in the State of Oklahoma so far this year frown
