Thanks for posting the video I look forward to seeing more! Just a couple of suggestions if I may, no music... just let the pure beauty of a sprint car at full song come through. No color switching, its beauty enough riding along in a sprint car. Thanks again.
Cheers!

Loved the video...would like to hear the motor though..Faria is a heck of a hot shoe..a heck of a lot could be learned by watching him slice and dice threw the field to the front..hands down one of the best in a non wing..thanks

Thanks for sharing the video.
Kind of curious what camera you used?
Yeah, it would be nice to hear the sound, but I know what you are trying to do with your creativity.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Larry Otani

Thanks for the input, your opinions are noted.
The camera's we used are somewhat inexpensive ($250) and we bought it at Chili Bowl.
We had two mounded on the car the other night, one forward and one backward. The forward one seemed to catch a lot of mud. Perhaps we should use baby oil or mud off, but it may distort the picture. The rear facing camera is a good shot.
Interestingly in the main the other night, we biked then flipped in turn 3. Prior to that, going into turn one there was loud pop and the camera caught something coming off the car. When we got back to the pits we found that the birdcage was in 3 pieces. I havn't had time to work with the video to slow it down and all that stuff, but has anyone else ever had a bird cage shatter in to 3 pieces?
The axle on the rear end is now bent at exactly where the busted birdcage was.
Put on your CSI hat and figure that one out.
Thanks

Sorry never seen a bird cage break, but I haven't seen much...lol!
Noticed a guy broke a axel at the Chillibowl and I haven't seen to many axels break.
The thing that seems to break a lot is drive shafts.
Sincerely,
Larry "O"

Look at whats left of the birdcage....theres not a lot of meat left on a lightweight birdcage where they cut the groovr for the circlip/snap ring that retains the bearing to the al. bird cage....if it breaks there all heck happens..just a thought.....love to see incar of crash

goto www.fordfocusmidgets.com click on the results tab, then goto race videos. The camera used is pretty good and has sound. I have mine mounted by my right front shock. You can get it a Big 5 for about $120.00.

Good quality video. Is your recorder tape or digital?
Not sure if you have seen any of my in-car video but if not check out my video page.
I did in-car in 06 and 07 at Ventura and a few other tracks. There are around 25 in-car videos up on my site.
Might give you a few ideas on camera placement and other things.
Enjoyed your video, look forward to seeing more.
