This is from the Enid News & Eagle, by Staff Writer Cheryl Licklilder. Travis Johnson showed he still has all the right stuff as he dominated the limited modified field in the season opener at Enid Speedway Park Saturday night. I want to give special thanks to the guys at Dunsworth Manchine, the car ran really decent tonight,' said Johnson. Johnson hustled off the outside pole aboard his BB Machine/Big O Tires/Michael's Welding-sponsored Quick Chassis and boasted nearly a straight-away advantage in a mere two laps. Johnson put his foot in it and powered his Dunsworth Machine-powered Chevy to victory lane with nearly a half-a-lap lead in the main event. Johnny 'The Rocket' Rauschenberg followed Johnson as he lapped nearly half of the field to post second, trailed by Robert Elliott, Kevin Snow and Greg Deterding. Woodward's Jon Herring , Jr. was pleased with his new DWL Sales & Supply/Thompson Welding-sponsored Hughes Chassis following a triumphant run in the modified 'A' feature. 'The car felt good, I just hope it feels as strong next week,' said Herring. Herring exploded off the pole to set the pole in the race early. Herring fought an early challenge from Allen Chickering to take a 10-car length lead at the race's mid-point. He was never challenged on his route to the winner's circle. Chickering settled for second, trailed by Brian Franz and Dusty Robbins. Dustin 'Hollywood' Allen displayed his winning ways as he put his OSSUR/SMPC/Allen Tile-sponsored street stock in victory lane. 'My new car ran good,' said Allen. 'I just hope to see more competition next week. I'm glad winter is over. Allen took the lead from polesitter James Lott, Jr. on the second lap and was never challenged on his path to the checkered flag. Lott settled for second, trailed by Ray Nulf and Ryan Bohnstedt. John Whitley, aboard his Farmer's Tranportation/Hommesyowner.com sponsored car, led all the way in factory stock. 'I hope tonight is a sign of things to come,' said Whitley. J.D. Choate nipped David Fisher at the flag for second. John Pankratz and Larry Byers were forth and fifth. James Goldman, Jr. dominated in pure stock with a clean victory run in his El Charro's/Red Ink-sponsored ride. Goldman accelerated off the pole and never looked back. He was followed by Tyson Ashlock, Lonnie Wilson and Bill Gerhard. Ryan Parli and Johnson were heat winners in limited modified. Herring won in Modified. Allen won his heat in street stock . Ronnie Ramer and Goldman won their heats in factory and pure stock respectivly. Enid Speedway Park's next card of racing will be at 7 p.m. Saturday.

You are right he is the headline no matter whnat class he run's, but if you could dominate like that you would to, he's a great driver and has been for many years in all the classes. Only place his boots have been is victory lane. What did you want the headline to be Local hot shoe Dustin Allen holds off field of 5 cars to win the street stock A. From what I see Limited Mods was the only calss that had more than 6 cars.

I speak my mind because im not a coward. Never said for once Travis wasnt a very talented driver. See if you can pull ur head out and get the point of the post.

my question would be...who or what else would you have wrote about from saturday?
He completely covered the field,in the only class that had more than ten cars.
I just really dont know what else you would write about, especially if you are trying to keep a positive light on Enid Speedway Park.

P.S.-shouldn't you be happy that he didn't bring his street stock???

All I have to say is we have a great newspaper with Cheryl Licklilder doing what she does for us. Not only you can besure that there is a article about the previously Saturday night races 'no matter the car count' but on Thursdays or Fridays you can find a article about a driver of the week. I have noticed people talking about other newspapers not covering there track. Thank you Cheryl & The Enid News & Eagle.

We try to stay out of the drama chat in Enid.Saturday night, we had 5 driver's come up to us and ask us if we recieved a memo not to come.We said no.. But, they showed up to watch. We said, you need to support your local track. If it the money part maybe you shouldn't be racing. Travel out of town. Talk about spending money. The cost of everything has gone up not just at the track. If you do not like Enid don't go and stop with the drama girls.Oh, Mr Straight shooter LOL..

I put my full name as a screen name not power slide 11. Maybe you should go to the top and see the point of my posts. Its not to bash Travis Johnson and its not to argue with any of you its to try to get some different people in the articles. Do you think they would ever say anything about a pure stock driver that has won numerous races in the year. Fuck no. So back off me. If anyone on here wants to talk shit to me come to the track saturday and id be glad to set you straight, otherwise just keep running your mouths on here like real men.

What is the payscale this year going to be like? And are they going to update the website every week?

Well I wasn't trying to be rude but no the payscale is not on there and it still has august results on there.I just wonder about the payscale sense that fuel has went up and so has the pitpasses. I also wanted to know if you still have to pay for membership and do you have to pay for two memberships for two different cars. THANK YOU.
