Tommy Tarlton Looks Forward to GLR 360 Sprint Car Series

By Gary Costa

Fresno, Ca. (April 1, 2009) – This Friday, April 3rd, Tommy Tarlton will begin his relentless quest for the 2009 GLR 360 Sprint Car Series championship held at Ocean Speedway's 1/4-mile oval.

Tommy, who missed some races last year, still managed a 6th place finish in the final 2008 points standings. He will again be at the helm of the families pristine Tarlton & Son, Inc. No. 21 Shark Racing Engines powered Maxim.

"You have to be on the gas in this series," said Tarlton. "There are a lot of good cars down there and you have to really stay on your toes. I'm really looking forward to mixing it up."

Tarlton, who has raced the powerful Winged Sprint Car at Marysville Raceway Park and Kings Speedway last month, brought strong results, with a win coming at the after mentioned Kings Speedway.

On opening night of the 360 series last year, Tarlton drew first blood April 4th, powering his way through his 9th starting spot in the main event, en route to victory.

Elbows up and on the gas, will be the name of the game to win races in the series, which suits Tarlton's wide-open driving style just fine. Tarlton, who rarely was out of the top-5 in the '08 series, looks forward to another rock-solid season and is quick to acknowledge those that work with him and support his race team.

"I have some really good people that help me make this happen," said the Easton driver. "I have the best team and sponsors that anyone could ask for, and I'm going to show my appreciation towards them by being on the hammer!"

Would like to thank all of our loyal sponsors:

Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, Ridgeline Framing, Shark Racing Engines, Matt & Glass, M & S Motorsports, Sharp Insurance, McLellan Equipment, Elite Racing, BG Products, Pro Signs, VMAC, Kaeding Performance, Pro Shocks, Sander Engineering, Astro Titanium, Simpson, BR Motorsports, Willwood and BRMS.
