I heard its the fairground (State) and they are providing security - cops! Smile has nothing to do with the Handy Racing Promotions. Really we've been pretty lucky not having to pay so far. Calistoga, Perris, remember Ascot, San Jose, (and there are a few more), they have always charge parking. Lets just be thankful it is not the Sacramento Kings or the SF 49ers, Giants, etc parking fee. Now that is way too much!

I hear the parking at the new Texas Stadium where the blue-star hillbillies play is $70!

I had heard the same thing about the new Cowboys stadium, I think from Humpy Wheeler during a press conferance and it blew my mind away. I can't imagine paying $70 to park. Just insane. I guess we all should be happy just payin $5. Smile

As much as it was back when, if San Jose were still open we'd be paying as much to park as we'd be paying to get in the stands. And the beer would be even more.

$70 to park is cheap in relation to how much Jethro Jones is charging for tickets to get a close look at the Plowboys getting their tails whipped. And, given the Kings performance this year, parking at Arco should be free. Given that we live in California and sales tax is going up next Wednesday, $5 isn't a whole lot. But, it still sucks to have to pay for something that has been free.

I always wondered why they changed to park in the grass and it was free to park in the tiers! At least it is fair for everyone and $5 is a good deal especially to keep the cars safe. A few years ago we got our car stolen from the parking lot of the Silver Dollar speedway only to get it a back a few months later.

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

I've been to Placerville. It's worth the price of admission. And Parking. 15 bucks?

Petaluma is 14 bucks. If you want to park within a mile it's 4 bucks. 2 Beers. Ten bucks. Bring a kid. Ten bucks. And it's the best money I spend all week. Truly I get the most out my of money when I spend it on a dirt track race. First time one of thos sprint cars comes out of turn four riding a wheelie it worth 20 bucks easy. Love the drivers. Love the fans. Love Saturday night at the track!
