Only three days to the WOO at Tulare. Any predictions?

I think J. Allard is going to set a new track record in qualifying on Friday night.

Look for a TK sweep. Seems there is allot riding on this race for him.

Did they fix the dip in the middle entering turn 1? If not the wing venders may want to bring backup.

Jason Statler in the McMillen #10 should be great to watch and don't forget Brad Sweet in the GP development car. Also Kevin Pylant in the 99.

I predict over half the field in the main event on friday and saturday will be from california.

Since its the Pennsylvania Posse and the Midwest Mafia can we make CA the California Cowboys?

Let's go racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and in just 2.5 weeks the second best race in northern California. The mini!!!

I got an email from Jason Statler and they won't be able to race at Tulare because the car isn't ready. Their first race is going to be the Mini Gold Cup!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

World of Outlaws Return to Action at Thunderbowl Raceway, February 23-24

Tulare, CA—Feb. 20, 2007--By: Tony Veneziano, WoO Sprint Series PR Director

After a nearly 2,600 mile journey across the country following the Florida DIRTcar Nationals, the World of Outlaws return to action this weekend at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare , California , for the fourth and fifth events of the nearly 90-race season. This will be the first of two separate visits to the track this season for the series.

Two full nights of racing are in store on Friday February 23 and Saturday February 24 at the racy 1/3-mile high-banked oval, highlighted by a pair of A-Feature events, with the winner earning $10,000 each night from a total purse that exceeds $89,000.

Leading the way will be current series point leader, Donny Schatz of Fargo , North Dakota . The reigning series titlist won the opening event of the season on February 9, and finished in the Top-Three in each of the trio of events in Florida , as he sits atop the standings heading to Thunderbowl Raceway, where he won a preliminary feature in 2005.

Danny Lasoski enters the event second in championship points, after three Top-Six finishes in the Sunshine State . The native of Dover , Missouri , drives for California native Dennis Roth, who has been instrumental in bringing the best sprint car drivers in the world to Thunderbowl Raceway.

Steve Kinser, the 20-time World of Outlaws Champion, will look to pick up his second victory with the series at the blazing fast bullring. He won on September 2, 2003, in the series first ever visit to the track. The native of Bloomington , Indiana enters the event with 533 career A-Feature wins.

Terry McCarl will look for his second win at the track. The native of Altoona , Iowa won at Thunderbowl Raceway in 2004. He is currently seventh in World of Outlaws points, only 42 out of the lead, after picking up two Top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place run on February 11 to start the season off.

Another former winner at Thunderbowl Raceway that will be in attendance is Tim Shaffer, the 1999 World of Outlaws Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year. The native of Aliquippa , Pennsylvania won at the 1/3-mile on February 25, 2005, and to-date has 11 career A-Feature wins with the series.

Looking for his first win at the track will be Craig Dollansky who won the overall championship of the Florida DIRTcar Nationals. The native of Elk River, Minnesota and winner of 18 career World of Outlaws A-Feature events, is currently fifth overall in championship points. Another driver looking to visit Victory Lane at Thunderbowl Raceway for the first time is Joey Saldana, driving for NASCAR star Kasey Kahne. The native of Brownsburg , Indiana enters the weekend third in points. Daryn Pittman who won the finale of the DIRTcar Nationals is fourth in points, and is looking for his first triumph at the 1/3-mile. He won twice last season on a track that size.

A number of drivers who hail from California will also be in action this weekend. Randy Hannagan a native of San Jose will take to the track, as well Tim Kaeding who also is from San Jose . Kaeding capped of a very successful 2006 season by winning the Trophy Cup at Thunderbowl Raceway. Jason Meyers of Clovis will make the short trip to Tulare as he chases his first World of Outlaws title. Paul McMahan, driving for two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart will also be in attendance. McMahan is originally from Elk Grove , California , and has turned numerous laps at Thunderbowl Raceway.

Brooke Tatnell who claimed his third straight Australian Sprintcar Title on Sunday, will make his first start in California for veteran car owner Larry Woodward, who hails from the Golden State . The team is currently eight in points, after picking up two Top-10 finishes to open the season.

Jac Haudenschild, the owner of 44 career World of Outlaws A-Feature triumphs, also drivers for a California-based car owner, Rick Wright. The pair won four A-Features last season and they are currently 11th in points this year. Haudenschild visited Victory Lane at the track last season during the Trophy Cup.

Drivers battling for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award that will be in action include: Tony Bruce Jr., Sam Hafertepe Jr., Chad Hillier, Kerry Madsen, who earned his first World of Outlaws A-Feature win on February 10 during the Florida DIRTcar Nationals, and James Mosher.

I wouldn't mind seeing a TK sweep.

on the other hand seeing Kerry Madsen win in the Selma Shell 11h one night and TK win the other would be nice also.

With the week I am having (definitely the week from he!!), would love nothing more than to see a Cali sweep. Either JA or TK. Hey YZ, there better be A LOT of cabo this weekend!!!!! So gonna need it.

If not JA or TK, then wouldn't mind seeing the 11H win in memory of Dave Helm.
