Does anyone remember going to the Redwood Falls Nationals for late models in the mid 70s?

I think it was in late summer and was a 2 day show. I am going way back but I remember drivers like Kenny Mann in a small plymouth challenger used to come down from the Twin Cities. Jack McCorkell in car numbered Mr880?

I think the hot local shoe at that time was Ernie Warner from Wabasso.

Other top drivers were Kevin Geer, Brian Nelson, Dave Knott, & Duane Ousky. Nelson was one of the first with a small block. Made the big blocks look slow.

I do remember Brian Nelson racing at Bird Island. That small block was screaming compared to those 427s of the the day.

I saw Darrell Heuer win there, I believe it was the Nationals.

Didn't Heuer run a car with no front or mininal front frnders? I seem to remember it almost looked like a modfied. I thought McCorkell had the same look.
