Hey, Shrek,

They don't call it a bullring for nothin'! That's what Northern CA racing has always been all about. Embarrassed? For what? A non-dry-dusty straightliner?!?!?!

As far as locals goes, the Saturday Tulare race is the same night as the GSCS opener at Placerville, not to mention the Silver Cup at Chico.

ive had the pleasure of watching sprint car racing on nor cals bull rings for 50 years and thats not what it's all about the tracks have nothing too do with my point---for some of these teams to come out for the first time in 4 months ageanst a feald of cars like that is just silly that race shuld have been left alone it was a grear race the way it was and was perfect for the locals too get the webs out befor the seson started

Random thoughts from the Mini:

The hand-off from John to Alan was seamless. D.J. Lindsy is probably the best crewcheif out there. T-Mac can do what ever he wants and get away with it. The pits were perfect given all of the recent rain. Seemed like there were a lot of empty seats along the edges of the stands both nights. There needs to be a greatly reduced ticket price for kids. Joey Saldana is on the 10 spin rule. The hamburgers in the pits must be great cus people were waiting in line a half hour for them. When Pace Truck Chuck retires there should be a race named after him. The economy had no noticeable effect on the car counts. This was not a great weekend if your last name was Kaeding. The CMPvideo guys are good for the sport. Statler was missed so was Tom Rolf's mullet. Shatz looked mortal. Where were the Gary Thomas trackside interviews?

Better not hold the race at Antioch, eh Top?

I thought the local turn out was good. I thought there might be more teams saving the equipment for the point season.

I'm not a big fan of the one lap qualifying thing.

Didn't make the pits so I didn't get a burger but the chicken basket seems to be a popular item in the grandstands.

Thanks guys -- I hope that retirement doesn't come too soon. I put 47 miles on the truck Friday night vs 28 on Saturday night.

Are we having fun yet?

Antioch? I have no idea what you mean CarWash...

Besides, like I told Soares, it was daylight and I had to hold my hand up to see the reflection to ensure that the lights on top were flashing.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I will have to agree with you on many points here. I will have to say, it was some of the most boring racing I have seen in along time. Also, we were told that the WOO teams have a 2 spin non-assist rule. There teams are allowed to unassisted spins and no penalty. I really enjoyed McCarl's story as to what happend on Friday night (not). I did see Shane Stewart, Statler, Allard and several other drivers there that weren't in competition in the pits. Also it was nice to not pay 50+ for a pit pass and the races got over plenty early on Saturday night. Well, here is hoping for a better show this weekend. See ya all there.
