Hi everbody. Is there a site that I can get membership, payout and insurance info for the Bandit thing? Bandit searches lead me here, Dave's SMS site or to the great plains. Or, if anybody wants to post here that would be appreciated too. Stay dry.

I really don't have an answer for you, but have assumed that the Bandit site some have referred to was the Santa Maria website. Good luck and if you find the bandit site please post it here so others will know. I don't think we will be hearing from Mr. Curto anytime soon.

Perhaps the best way to get info,Rod,click on pete curto [any bandit post] and send an E-mail message to him directly....He's been the 'voice' of the Bandits and I personally hope that doesn't change...IF pete talked a little crap on some latemodel website ...big deal..he'll be at the first Bandit race of the season ready to regale us with tails of the night,reporting the out come ...good times!

Thanks for the responses. I know my timing could'nt be worse. I'm one of those "lesser funded guys" and these items can add up to about $1500.00 if all three go the wrong way. I know it does'nt sound like much and I get teased alot about penny pinching. But as I ask the better funded brethren..."would you walk away from a $1500.00 sponsor?"
Simply put...If I'm jumping in this end of the pool, I need to reconfigure one motor and order some softer bars. Time is running out.
I tend to agree with the Peter supporters. Who has'nt showed thier ass before? Big deal. I was the Bandit guy when Faria had his big dollar weekly payout at Tulare. I can tell ya, you can only hear "you guys won't be in business next year" so many times. If I had been smart enough to use those new-fangled message boards or even owned a computer back then, the bar for message board melt downs would be much higher.

Heres a message board tip ,Rod,if you regret something you post..Delete it -claim someone hacked you computer and move on...passion for racing is not a fault....

Hello there rod i will try to answer a few of your questions for you.
A.Membership i do not know if there is a "bandit" membership as there is just a membership at the tracks where the bandits run.
B.Payout last year was i believe either 1200 or 1000 to win and 200 to start for normal "bandit" races.
C.Insurance info "bandits"are not an owned group or organization therefore they do not carry there own insurance coverage they use the tracks insurance that they race at.
Hope that answers a few questions for you good luck this year

Thank you very much. I was kinda hoping the Bandits had gone to a ASA/NSRA 360 type deal with insurance. I think thier insurance and membership was $200.00 a year for about a half million coverage. Much more affordable than buying STIDA. Everything else is pretty much what I thought it would be.
